Sorry - addition to previous email - this meeting took place not a moment too soon - the Finlay Institute is also working with SmithKline Beecham to manufacture vaccines for the US with a view to the embargo being lifted! Amazing that the embargo, as bad as it has been for the Cubans, forced a level of innovation that might not have happened otherwise - their amazing work in alternative medicine and organic farming needs to come to light before it gets lost in the rush for economic change.
