Re: cell salts bottle
Law of Similars (no for cell salts); Proving (no for cell salts); Minimum dose (no for cell salts)
So how do they fit homeopathic laws and principles??
Sample from http://schuessler-cell-salts.com/basic- ... uoride.htm
Main uses
* joint pains
* skin illnesses
* varicose veins
that is NOT homeopathy - not individualized, not law of similars, no proving for use in this way, no minimum dose

Sheri,
The basis of your objections has to do with the *practice* of cell salts usage, not with their "homeopathicity" to the complaints treated.
The website you've chosen is an odd one. It uses more than the original 12 (which may be irrelevant), and doesn't give anything beyond very broad categories of "symptom". Googling "how to use cell salts" brings up many other sites, giving maybe more meaningful descriptions, e.g.:
http://lovelovething.com/cell-salts-easy-homeopathy/
Yes, indications are largely shared with regular indications; but used in a broader way.
Both of these refer to the *method* that we call homeopathy, not to the absence / presence of "homeopathic correspondence", use of which is popularly referred to as "homeopathy." Healing, even local healing, via recognizing and applying homeopathic correspondence was also referred to as "homeopathy" by Hahnemann himself, e.g. in Intro to Organon where he describes homeopathic uses of heat, magnetism, emotion, etc. Sheri -- do you disagree with this statement?
Yep, this was not a very useful one to use as example. Try instead the one I posted just above.
And, if it were not individualized, we would not need nor have these many books and websites describing how to use them! It is *less* individualized; it is definitely not the same as regular homeopathy.

Re: cell salts bottle
I only object to it being called homeopathy
I have expressed very clearly why, in previous posts.
How much more can be said?
Yes, I know other things can be homeopathic. I was cured of post menopausal hot flashes by a sprained ankle (yes its true). I know one disease can cure another.
Cell salts are taken as supplements basically.
You only know something is homeopathic to a person, really, after you have seen a cure (true cure, not suppression)
What is so hard to understand about cell salts NOT being homeopathy, Shannon?

Other than being an acceptable topic here at minutus, so what? For me, healing is what is important. I admit everything that you say except that I see the culture of homeopaths to be way too exclusive. I see nothing new in homeopathy for at least 100 years. Rudolf Steiner and his Anthroposophy could have been a wonderful influence on homeopathy, but nary a word about Anthroposophy is EVER mentioned here about Anthroposophy. Joepathy should be looked at through the eyes of classical homeopathy; not a single word, not even a response to one of my questions. Flower remedies are not homeopathy, so they can't be discussed either.
Now people are trying to make cell salts go away, but they work wonders for me and are absurdly cost effective.
All of these examples are energetic medicine. All energetic medicine is vulnerable to attacks by materialists and their yapping dogs the skeptopaths. But instead of uniting, we fight over what is real homeopathy and everything else be damned.
Yeah, homeopathy can work miracles; but is the practice of homeopathy cost effective? I wonder.

Re: cell salts bottle
Cell salts are a form of oligotherapy.
Schüessler Cell Salts (also known as Schüessler Tissue Salts) are a form of oligotherapy and act on the cellular level to balance and restore cell function. Schüssler Salts are able to harmonize and regulate chemical processes in the cells.
Discovered by Dr. Wilhelm Heinrich Schüssler (1821 – 1898), a German physician, he based his therapy on a total of 12 mineral salts, which he called “functional substances”, because they perform essential functions in our body and are suitable for remedying a multitude of functional disorders. Dr. Schüssler had theorized that these mineral salts were vital for the regular functioning of the body´s cells. He had concluded further that deficiencies in any of these tissue salts would lead to dysfunction and illness. Consequently, treatment of mineral imbalances in the body by tissue salts must be an essential factor for restoring health.
On my website, I have a list of them and what they are good for:

Re: cell salts bottle
It matters because if you are going to practice homeopathy it is important to follow laws and principles, not just anything you want.
Yes healing is what is important but many things are palliative at best and suppressive at worst and not healing at all - not curative. You have to have laws and principles to follow.
Anthroposophy is one thing - I knew Steiner's work, but the Anthropops I know don't follow the laws and principles either, for homeopathy. But I love Steiner and his work.
I'm glad cell salts worked for you........but doesn't make them homeopathy
Same as acupuncture works for many and is curative but it is not homeopathy.
Reiki works for some but is not homeopathy
Few here seem to care to know homeopathy
Homeopathy was VERY cost effective for me with migraines - one session with a classical homeopath who used 6th edition LMs and within 2 months I was cured of migraines, I'd had for 15 years, every 1, 2 or 3 weeks, lasting 2-3 days each time. I'd say thats pretty cost effective after trying Chinese Medicine for a year, Chiropractic for a year, Rolfing until I couldn't take it anymore, Massage, Diet Changes, Shiatsu and on and on. Had to resort to a horrifying drug I inhaled - ergotamine. I WAS CURED IN 2 months! CURED. It was miraculous. Not suppressed, not palliated but cured.
Homeopathy is incredible when its laws and principles are followed............................I refuse to unite with those who think anything goes.
Sorry - I refer more than anyone else on the planet I think, due to my work with vaccine dangers and have had terrible results for parents and adults I have referred......................lots of lost money for them and loss of faith in homeopathy and sometimes worsening of their conditions.
So I will continue to remind people on a list that is supposed to be Hahnemannian, what the laws and principles are. Cure comes from following those laws and dosing properly - not just palliation or suppression. You can like it or not, Roger.
I now refer to only a few homeopaths who 'get' it. Who follow the laws and principles and methods in 5th and 6th edition of the organon.
IT IS VITAL in my experience.
No one is trying to make cell salts go away - they just should not be called homeopathy. Reiki works but we don't call it homeopathy. Chinese Medicine works but we don't call it homeopathy.
Homeopathy is when you follow laws and principles. Most don't.

If I may quickly insert here:
My friend and colleague, Cilla Whatcott, has put together a wonderful course on cell salts. If you want a good, solid understanding of these, their history, and how to effectively use them, please click on the "Education" tab of her website here:

Towards the bottom of this page, you'll see directions for how to sign up for this $50 course. I think you will find this well worth the small investment. It works right alongside homeopathy.

Re: cell salts bottle
So, all healing falls into the category of healing, palliative, and suppressive? There is no overlap or other categories?

There is only healing under 'healing'
Palliation and suppression are not healing but palliation and suppression
I know of no other categories
