Yes, I can attest to that. Spent 3 or 4 days in the hospital, took about 12 hours to pass the stone, they gave me morphine and after the stone passed my blood pressure was 60/40 so got plunked into a bed and was told not to even try to get up.
Second stone, years later while an advanced student of homeopathy, Had a homeopath at the time who had a rather rigid rule, he absolutely demanded that his patients not take any homeopathic remedies on their own.
The pain started coming up and was pretty bad, when the pain got to an eight out of a possible ten and I felt the nausea start, that was it, rule or no rule I took a 30c of berberis (dry dose) and put the 200C remedy bottle in my pocket in case I needed it, Oh, yes I did, the wave of pain started getting worse, I popped a 200c pellet, the pain wave went down as fast as it came on and that was it!! Thank G-d, I have not had a problem since (about 20 years now).
The pain is absolutely horrible. Was once told the pain was from spasms of the ureters and that berberis (in my case) relaxed them so the stone could pass easily.

Interesting as my husband has had no more stones since I persuaded him to take Berberis last time he had an attack which was about 2 years ago, Before that it was regular in January after the Xmas binge I reckon!!!

I understand totally as have witnessed it in others. But just wanting to clarify that this isn't a cure so that future ones don't occur, it is certainly help with the process of passing the stones.

Re: kidney stones New question...
Have a cured case of a patient with some terrible urinary track problems, frequent urination (every 20 minutes) with problems voiding, was full of stones in the collecting ducts. He passed about 3 or 4 stones a week, didn't bother going to the doctor anymore when they passed. He came in awhile back with two small pill bottles containing tissue paper and a big pile of stones, they looked almost like little bb pellets, and yes I had him on berberis as needed for that kidney stone pain - he just started passing those stones almost painlessly, his doctor was absolutely amazed how well he did. He used to spend 2 hours out of his workday in the bathroom, when I saw him last it was down to less than a half hour and the time was still reducing. Economic problems keep him out of my office until he really needs me, so I have not seen him for a few months now, told him he didn't have to come back as long as he was doing well.
I love Berberis, can't help but love a remedy that has offered so much pain relief.

Was he taking a daily dose or only as needed when pain began. Was he on 30c of berberis (dry dose) or 200c pellet as reported earlier in this conversation?

The potato water does not
dissolve the kidney stones; it contains the alkaloid
solanine, similar but weaker to atropine, that creates
relaxation of the ureters, allowing the stone to progress
fast to the bladder and relieves the pain by stopping the
spasms.

About 500 grams of fresh banana stem will fetch a tumbler of juice. Add good fresh and diluted butter milk and salt (if you need).
Every day the cubically cut pieces themselves can be added to your food. Not when you are taking baked items. Only when you take boiled, raw or fried food.
Hope this helps

Re: kidney stones New question...
buttermilk creates a lot of unpleasantness with baked foods. Similarly we do not take milk or with fish. Some seasoned stomachs may take it tho.
