Since she went out tonight I presume she is over the worst. I will take her some Phytolacca when I go out to Singapore later this month as I know it is a remedy I have never given her for her kit. What potency do you think works best?

I have always liked phytolacca for mastitis. It is good for lymphatic conditions.

Years ago when I was nursing my children and before knowing anything about homeopathy, I got mastitis numerous times with each of my children. My mom also had that problem much worse than I did.

Many years after phytolacca came up for some problem I had so I took it, it did me a lot of good and seemed to remove some things I had hanging around for a long time.

Well yes. Think about how many teats and how much mammary tisue there is ina cat or dog, it can be almost half their body in a cat. Mastitis in a cat can be life threatening. Also cows etc have more volume, and milk is a perfect food for bacteria :-)

IMO:
Ideally F series, but 200C otherwise, plus phyt cream topically....that combo works fast.

Dear Dr. Shahrdar
I cannot tell you how lovely it is to have your voice active once more on Minutus. You have been sorely missed.

i think since you dont have her case, try massage. massaging gently and consistently, rubbing toward the direction of the nipple, is a huge help in blocked ducts.

Dear Rochelle,

After the inflammation is subsided by Belladonna, you can change your one-sided inflammatory approach to a constitutional approach. I mean prescribing a remedy suitable for her constitutional type; like Calc, Sil, Puls,.... according to her symptoms. When there is a considerable reduction in the severity of inflammatory conditions, prescribing a deeper remedy may help in clearing the remaining problems.

Warm regards,

Ardavan

I second the Phytolacca recommendation. I had a family member over the holidays with a bad, large clogged duct. She had tried massage, warm compresses, hot showers, an hour long hot bath- everything we could think of besides homeopathy. I did not have my repertory handy so I looked up mastitis (which she did not yet have- and there was no pain as yet, just a very large clogged duct) online and found Belladonna and Phytolacca as two highly recommended remedies for clogged ducts/mastitis. Anyway, she did not fit Belladonna at all-no heat, no pain, no fever- yet anyway, so we started her off with Phytolacca. Nothing happended for awhile (after two doses of 30c- what I had available). But then, she started complaining that it was starting to hurt and we were all getting nervous that mastitis was setting in. She'd taken antibiotics before with another clogged milk duct that had started getting painful- her doctor friend told her to get right on antibiotics for fear of mastitis (she did not want to do the antibiotics again). So anyway, I gave her another dose of the Phytolacca 30c and within an hour or two when she was nursing her baby, she suddenly looked at me and exclaimed "It's gone!" And I knew immediately the Phytolacca had worked. She believed it was the Phytolacca too as she had tried everything else and all several hours earlier. She was thrilled not to have to worry about mastitis and antibiotics either! All glory to God! What a gift homeopathy is!
