It has nothing to do with beliefs, but vaccination public relations. Advisors, not even Obamas themselves would probably not recommend it in reality because again, if someone *so high profile* had adverse reactions it would greatly damage their campaign.

But do you have any reason to believe they are anti-vaccine? I sure haven't heard any.

Re: mercury levels in H1N1 vaccine
Of course the news clip didn't say!
But since most people believe the risks of harm from a vaccine to be remote ("couldn't happen to *my* kids!"), and since Obama has shown no signs (so far as I can tell) of being either anti-vaccine or particularly pro-alternative-health (tho I am still hopeful he's not anti-!), I would simply assume they had them vaccinated, with the good ol' regular whatever's available, because they saw no reason to do anything else. Well, maybe I'm being naive (and one could say pessimistic
), but shouldn't one have *some* reason for thinking there's a burglar under the table? I haven't seen any reason in this case.

they do show great signs of taking care of their health. if you recall obama referenced
himself drinking organic herbal tea. his chef was very outspoken about the american diet
being so bad for kids and michelle was there touting her garden on the white house lawn.
i can't imagine they are not on top of the research about the vaccine dangers and the flu
vaccine in particular. sure, this isn't proof of their position but i would venture a good guess
they are like all the others at the top of the heap. they demand top notch info and care for
themselves and their families.

I know people who will only eat organic but will still pile in the
drugs. One doesn't automatically lead to the other. Again we are back
to "I would do it this way so everyone else surely does."

Remember all wanting to hear from Tony Blair whether he gave MMR vax
to his baby and we never got any response.
Cherie seemed more aware of healthy issues and is likely to have done
her research and not allowed the MMR, but we will never know.
The same thing could happen in the Obama family, but we'll never know

Re: mercury levels in H1N1 vaccine
I also remember the things that Tony Blair said when he was wanting
votes, things such as "I'll ban hunting" - what a joke that was. Could
be that Obama is like all politicians: gives out little gems that he
thinks will encourage people to vote for him, even if those little gems
are not really his true leaning. And as organics and the green movement
are vote winners?????
