Re: Swine Fever Profiteering
Soroush,
Feel free to delete those 2 lines in my post and just leave the dungeon and dragons one to comply with your guidelines for those who haven't read it yet and don't receive emails from here. Jon Haworth of the Homeopathy List actually censors posts by editing some to only spin homeopathy positively and cut down on arguments and discussion. Sheri complained about me to him by using the same style technique she just used here to have me banned from that list. Not that I couldn't create new aliases to post there but that list is just not what it was and not worth the effort.
I'd rather have your moderation than Haworth's censorship in the new socialist world we must adapt to in the USA.

You have just confused the argument really bringing in 'policing' - it is just my opinion that I expect a homeopathic pharmacy to be responsible in this way and the whole initial subject line was about profiteering - well they certainly are and not in the best interests imo. Joy

Re: Swine Fever Profiteering
Hi Dave
Thanks for the good wishes for my cat. he died a few years back, unfortunately - suffered for several years from gum disease, which we kept at bay with judicious use of Pulsatilla. And I diddn't repeat the Frontline - as you can imagine!
However, my point in using tautopathy here was that this was a clear case of poisoning. I knew what had happened, and the results came on within half a day. With poisoning, you have something concrete to deal with. Secondly, when a cat 'shuts down' you have to move fast - they can just fade away fairly quickly. Thirdly, animals don't speak - taking a symptom picture is hard - what do I go on? Disinterest in present circumstances - disinclination to eat or drink- sleeping - cold body temperature? A lot of remedies could cover that. And I had to move fast - no time to do a remedy carousel.
So the simplest thing was to detox the cat - which I did...and you know the rest. So, yes....tautopathy or isopathy are not, strictly speaking, homeopathy. But they really have a place in our system. After all, we have Hahnemann to thank for the discovery that minute doses heal - and apart from people like clinical ecologists, who's going to credit a 30C potency of Frontline with having any effect?
So I don't reject either tautopathy or homeopathy - and I feel they have a place. Mixed grasses and pollens, vaccine antidotes - I would not like to be without these.
Best wishes
Liz

In order to support our local homeopathic pharmacies, I do email the patient's prescription to the pharmacy, which sends the remedy, and an invoice, to the patient.
AND I have a stock of a few hundred of remedies and various potencies to cover emergencies.
Doesn't that cover all aspects?

However - I know hundreds of animals (more likely thousands) alive
only because of it:-)
In addition it is a great method to prevent illness instead of vaccines.

Yes - it does Are the few hundred in med pots or tablets? If in med pots it must be incredibly tempting to use them in non-emergencies, especially if patients expect to pay for a prescrtiption and you can recoup the cost of the investment.
Do your patients get whole bottles from the pharmacy regardless of how many doses you anticipate them needing?
Have you ever had the pharmacy sending the patient the wrong remedy. I have received the wrong remedy on rare occasions and wouldn't have known of the mistake if the remedy had gone straight to the patient.
This does seem a prosaic discussion compared to some of the other high minded stuff going on (!) but I wish I had thought it all through when starting out and had the discussion then. Another thing I might have done is get the range of remedies in an LM2. Don't take up much space, liquid potencies (which I like anyway), something to start with in an acute - or even a chronic situation very often.
Portability was always a consideration when I was working in 2 or 3 clinics. You could even have lower LMs for remedies commonly used in lower potencies..
