Hi Rochelle,
For Oligospermia you can try out UBI-Q, a specific remedy, prepared by Fourrts Herbomineral Division in Chennai in India. They have encouraging results after clinical trials where they claim to be benefitting even 1 % sluggishly motile sperm increasing upto 25 %. I quote herewith the comments of their marketing manager's email to me yesterday - "
Dear Doctor,
At the outset, I regret the delay in replying to you mail, as I was out of station on official tour. I thank you very much for your mail and give below the details regarding the role of UBIQ in Male infertility.
The role of UbiQ in Azoospermia is not pronounced. Whereas in Oligospermia, it works very well. Once the semen analysis is made, rule out the possibility of any UTI infection if it is acidic. The trial reports available with us states that even 1% sluggishly motile sperm has responded to 25% of sperm concentration. The dosage recommended is, first month 1 capsule 3s a day, 2nd month 1cap. 2s a day and 3rd month, 1 caps. daily.
Please try out and give us your valuable comments."
I have started this remedy in a case of oligospermia very recently but would be in a position to comment on the outcome at least after 12 weeks. I have not obtained encouraging results with any other potentised remedy so far. I find Sulfanilamidum and X-ray suggested for low sperm count in Murphy's Hom. medical repertory. I haven't tried Sulfanilamidum so far because I could'nt find it in Calcutta. Hope this piece of information benefits one and all.
Best wishes,
Partha Chakraborty.

Hi Partha,

sorry we did not get to meet in Kolkata last february, hope you are well. We shall be back
again next Feb. 09 to do more work with Dr Kalian Bhattacharyea.

What is UBI-Q? Is it a homeopathic remedy?

Best wishes, Grace

Does totality-based or constitutional treatment usually normalize sperm
motility along with other factors? I'm curious whether
"sperm-specific" remedies are used routinely instead of totality-based
treatment, or only in cases where the "constitutional" / totality
remedy can't be found?

Best wishes,
Shannon
