We are surrounded by woods here, so they are clean and undisturbed. The largest grow in the wettest, sunniest places. Everyone's lawn is full of them, too, but these tend to stay smaller.

I am unconvinced that I have a need for knotweed. Perhaps this will change some day:)

I have been trying to increase my anti-oxidant level, and I find that it has improved my disposition. I think that free-radicals means inflammation. Perhaps there is some inflammation that is not caused by free radicals. But I am pretty sure, pending more thought and input, that free radicals always result in inflammation. And for me, inflammation means nerve inflammation, which means irritability.

My main weapon against free radicals has been knotweed tea. I am expanding my arsenal. The war has just begun.

My initial batches were from dried rhizome cuttings. I would blend them and lightly boil them for 20 minutes. I now have an extremely fine powder that is said to be from the rhizome, and I trust them.

What would be the problem from eating too many violets? Is that leaves and flowers both, that one could overdo on?

If I remember rightly, too many causes liver damage.
They are best used as condiment rather than vegetable?

Funny that you should mention this. I just ate all of the grounds from my hibiscus brew. I looked at it, and it was SO black and so beautiful, I thought, that must good for me. It tasted great; the texture was like a little gritty. That was about an hour ago. If you don't here back from me tomorrow, you'll know that it isn't good for you. (:->)

But I think that it will be good for me. I think that the energy is very good.

Monday morning, 9 hours later.

The energy is quite strong, and I had no problems, unless you think that my phlegm turning black-purple is a problem. That is really weird. This was many hours after eating the grounds.
