Do you think (or have you compared) this is an instance where a high
potency would not have moved that level of the case, or did you use low
potency for other reasons, or ?

Hi Shannon,
For what its worth, I just finished listening to Ian Watson and he was
discussing fibroids and other similar cases. He tends to go high, 10m when
treating things like this, he says he sees rapid improvement, rather than
dosing daily with low potency. Now I have never tried this, perhaps there
may be others with more experience who have. He does say that their overall
health is good and there is no other additional pathology present.

Like any case it will always depend on the rest of the case. if overall
health is good, energy good then high potency might suit the case. In
my experience with fibroid cases there has always been quite poor
health, allopathic intervention and quite strong emotional issues in
some cases, so I will have used LM's although I can remember a more
urgent case where 200c was used.

Sadly I don't have time to write up cases but checking notes I have
used Sabina, Fraxinus, Lachesis and Sepia. The urgent case resolved
quickly the others took a few menstrual periods to sort out and another
took a long time but that was a Nat mur case (typical).

Best wishes, Joy

Thanks Joy and Donna,
So fibroid is not *in itself* reason to stay low, but choose potency
according to the overall case? Makes sense.

Joy, I'm intrigued to see Fraxinus in your list. That's a remedy I
hadn't heard of, and it has very (and mostly quite general) few rubrics
in my repertory. Can you say a bit about what led you to this--not
repping, I gather, or is it better represented in another repertory?

Shannon

It's very useful to see the spread of approach

Dear Shannon, Fraxinus is quite highly ranked in the 'fibroid, uterus'
rubric but I used this rx mainly because the client had been on the
pill for a really long time and it was felt that this was the cause or
at at least contributed to the cause. She had come off the pill and her
periods had returned with a vengeance - very painful and heavy
accompanied by a bearing down sensation (quite like sepia, squid and
lilium tig etc) and a dx of large fibroid.

In my opinion a very important female rx and very like Lachesis - lots
of loquacity and restless anxiety, left sided, left ovarian pain. I had
previously given Lachesis with no effect so Fraxinus seemed the next
best choice as I knew it to be important with nbws the pill.

Fraxinus is the american white ash and I remember from all my work some
years ago about the history of contraception that many tree substances
were used as methods of contraception - white poplar, white oak,
willow, pine bark (white poplar is sterile), so maybe there is
something in Fraxinus that yields this affinity to the female
reproductive sphere.

Best wishes, Joy

Great, thank you! In Complete Rep (which is the one I use far too
usually) it is a (2), among a field of 87 rxs! (The only (3)s are
calc, calc-f, phos and sep.) I'll read up!

Subject: [Minutus] Fibroid Cases
Hi,
I would like to know if any body has experience in curing cases with
fibroid - i would like to study/read the cases. Both with specifics and
constitution. Any information is a welcome. I am sitting idle so does
not want to get rust so i am revising on each subject. I was looking for
the rubrics in Therapeutic pocket book and Boger;s bonninghausen's repetory.

High potency moving that 'level'?
The remedy is what addresses the Sx not the potency (in my book at any
rate)
I'm not quite sure what you mean by your question

Hello, such wonderful posts everyone is very busy today it seems. I was
treated for fibroids some years ago and my homeopath prescribed Ledum and
this healed the fibroids and much more besides. It was great. Thank you
everyone for so much to think about. Kerry.
