Re: Need help
That seems logical.
But she says this is totally new and has never done this before.
She went to a regular Doctor and it baffled him as well.
He didn't know if it was a fungus or an infection.

This moist smelly condition of the creases is I think a yeast infection. One
needs to make sure that blood sugar is Ok and avoid the things one avoids
in Candida. Beer vegemite, sugars etc. I, if use a cream would prefer
Mycostatin or Nilstat to Canestan.
Bacillinum and all the other remedies mentioned possibly useful, and
especially what Mother Nature suggests, Jean

Re: Need help
Not really.
I thought it was a homeopathic cream.
Got it from Canada.
I am in my stupid mode right now, stressed about Joe so didn't check.
Her face is a wreck and I needed to be able to help her.
Oh dear. Now what!

Re: Need help
This could be a good time for "patient education" about e.g. the need to
address her skin issues in a holistic way that supports her *overall*
well-being, and how sometimes it can take time to find the needed remedy,
but in the meantime there are other ways that she can begin to heal herself
(diet, lifestyle?).
Maybe a nutritional blitz could help? E.g., essential fatty acids such as
good-quality, very fresh, cold-pressed flax, hemp or fish oils (later adding
in others such as coconut, olive, and ??). EFAs are essential for skin
health, and also essential to help the cells (skin, blood, and all others)
defend and rebuild during yeast infestation. Some time back I did a yeast
cleanse which was *very* effective, and part of that (can't honestly say
whether it was the major workhorse or not, but *know* it was important) was
taking (gag) half cup daily of these excellent, omega 3 intensive oils -- on
veggies and whole grains, in blender drinks, any old way. (It was *much*
easier than I'd expected!)
Also if she adds all the skin-supportive and yeast-combatting nutrients,
e.g. Vitamins A,C,E; zinc, MSM, garlic, probiotics -- consulting a couple of
nutrition books would add other ideas. Also an *excellent* diet, with
*absolute* avoidance of all junk foods, of both the junk-sugar and junk-fat
varieties -- all of which would be great to help counter the physical
demands of her diabetes, too! (Tho she might need to check with her doctor
re any special requirements re total fats or etc.?). Certainly this is a
lot more work on her part than just "getting the remedy", but would be far
better than topical creams, and could provide her with major life tools.
(Or, maybe she's already doing all that...)

Re: Need help
It seems to me that helping someone relieve such distressing symptoms as
those described (and which a good friend of mine - a homeopath -
suffered from in the extreme heat last year) with a cream that actually
works within hours and then tackling the problem long term with
something like homeopathy is not an ethical dilemma or preventing
homeopathy from doing its work in its own time. The suggestion was
merely shared from experience and to help the practitioner and patient.
And if that contributes to interesting conversation, I think it is a
valid contribution.
I was invited to join the group and have found its mailings very
interesting and sympathetic to the way I work. I have printed out many
of them and given them to my homeopathic friends who prefer to keep out
of computer energies themselves. However, if you would like to remove
me from the group, I quite understand. If I receive no more mailings, I
will not take the matter personally.
The ideals of the group I see are for "promotion of homeopathy and
educational benefit" for its membership. I feel it is rather sad if the
group does not want to interact with those who share their ideals (and
some of their remedies) but also use other techniques (as indeed some of
the group seem to). It seems very limited and not for "educational
benefit" to be so restricted. Personally, I like to continue to learn
and explore and experience and did not feel my work was outside the
boundaries of the group. For instance, the equipment I recommended for
measuring what happens to the body's organs, meridians, etc. (not a
gadget, as someone called it, but a highly advanced piece of equipment,
taking over ten years to produce and subjected to the highest EU and
British Medical Devices Agency approvals)when treatment is given via
homeopathy or any other form, seems to me to be highly beneficial for
any practitioner and patient to be aware of.
But if you prefer not to send me mailings, that is up to you and I will
understand.
