Hello All,
I am looking for recommendations for homeopathic vaccination for anthrax and
small pox. Potency, repetition, etc.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Please advise the most authoritative books.
Thank You,

Re: Homeopathic Vaccination
Indeed, Varun, I have full respect that there are varying views on homeoprophylaxis-- the act of using homeopathy as a prophylactic.
Homeopathy is a healing art-- a medical approach that needs always to be taken very seriously.
I will be open to discussing the varying views of the use of homeopathy as a prophylactic here on Homeopathy-and-SN. However, I do not want contention to be any part of this discussion. Disagreement is fine, but respect for research that has been seen as conclusive that has been done on both sides must be shown. This way people who have not yet decided where to stand relative to homeopathic prophylaxis can make up their own minds intelligently, not react to passion.
I have presented about homeoprophylaxis in enough venues now to know a couple of things quite firmly. First and foremost, I am not asking everyone to practise this, but simply to know what it really is. And also that I will not argue with anyone.
Please know, up front, that I feel to consider homeopathic prophylaxis as "homeopathic vaccination" is misleading at best. And in the presentations I make about homeoprophylaxis, I work to make it clear that fear of disease is something spawned by the vaccine industry-- that disease pathogens are living creatures that want to survive and will change/mutate in order to do this, and that many diseases have tremendous health benefits that are not often considered or recognized. The best thing to do is to live healthy, work with the environment in which we live, and work with this body we all have that has a natural desire to be well.
Homeoprohylaxis, properly approached, works with this, introducing the body to energetic forms of the disease so that it responds appropriately, on average, about 90% of the time. It enhances, or educates the immune system in a way modern medicine simply can't. Does it introduce anything "permanent" to the body? Perhaps the permanence of a stronger desire to be well and a stronger immune system.
The homeoprophylactic approach, as you may have heard of, Varun, wiped out cases of Japanese encephalitis in the Indian province of Andra Pradesh-- and did so in a matter of just 3 years. This study involved 20 million children. HP has also helped remarkably with the disease of leptospirosis in the nation of Cuba. A certain randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in Brazil showed that, with children, those who were NOT treated homeoprophylactically were three times MORE likely to contract the flu, when known exposure has happened. Another Brazilian study shows remarkable homeoprophylactic success against meningitis.
I have seen many studies. I have spoken with homeopaths from many nations who have been successfully utilizing HP for years. In my mind, there is no doubt that it works effectively and safely. This is why we put on the conference in 2015. This is why I'm working on future international conferences as well.
Should we wait for an epidemic before considering a nontoxic homeopathic alternative? The problem here is the definition of an epidemic. How many people must suffer and/or even die before doing something? In my opinion-- and from what I know from the writings of Hahnemann-- if pain and suffering can be avoided, it is not necessarily wrong to work to do so. HP allows this.
Today, as well, we have the horrid assault from the vaccine industry, which is indifferent to pain and suffering because it has a product to sell-- and it has no liability in the United States. Fear is a huge seller, especially when it can be combined with health. This is what has been going on with the vaccine industry. There is so much evil coming from the top organizations-- and, with the known toxins and other dangerous substances used in the making of vaccines, our dear children are the ones who are ultimately paying the price.
I consider myself an educator, as far as homeoprophylaxis. I have presented and published about this internationally. I am quite passionate about spreading word about HP, the nontoxic alternative to disease prevention and will invite open and respectful discussion about it.
Be well!

Re: Homeopathic Vaccination
Dear Cathy,
Please cite the "many studies" you mention on homeoprophylaxis being prescribed in a scheduled manner without an actual disease outbreak. While it's an appealing thought (ie immunizing against pertussis with potentized Bordatella should one Ever be exposed, vs during an epidemic) I find it hard to believe that there is any solid evidence or even an effective measure to find solid, laboratory confirmed evidence that this works. I think those of us homeopaths who are skeptical about this really would like for it to work, but extremely uncomfortable with the thought of giving repeated doses of remedies that aren't indicated for our individual patients.
Homeopathy is always under attack and I think we have to hold ourselves to a high standard of research and honestly represent our clinical experience.
I am asking specifically about the marketed HP approach. I've seen the studies from Brazil and Cuba, but this protocol is a different thing.
Thank you for engaging in a discussion about this important topic.
Best,

Re: Homeopathic Vaccination
Absolutely, Rebekah. And thank you for asking.
First of all, please know that there is no set and established "protocol" for HP. Dr. Isaac Golden's approach is widely used. But also are other approaches as I've seen in many other nations, including Germany, India, Japan, and the United States. Compared to the regimen of recommended vaccinations set by the CDC (which we know is becoming increasingly greater), that nations are repeatedly trying to copy for their countries, one of the solid things I've found about HP is that any protocol can be adaptable from country to country. The only "marketing" of a protocol is what is done by individual practitioners who are utilizing homeoprophylaxis. (And, so it will be known, some of these practitioners are part of certain groups that are designed for the promotion of homeoprophylaxis.) Because things are the way they are in the world today, and those working to promote HP as an effective alternative to vaccines are coming under fire by the promoters of vaccines,
This last year, Homeopathic Links did a series of articles by Dr. Isaac Golden on HP, among which were his attempts to share many of the myriad studies that have been done since Hahnemann's time regarding HP and its effectiveness.
I will refer you to the book by Dr. Thomas Lindsley Bradford called _The Logic of Figures_, published in 1900. Among the remarkable comparisons he shares in this book, there also is a short write-up, beginning on page 31, about several doctors who had heard of the success Hahnemann had with belladonna against scarlet fever and wanted to try this themselves. The success each one of them had is noted.
Additionally, the royal physician of the king of Prussia during Hahnemann's time, Christoph Wilhelm von Hufeland, noted as one of the finest physicians of the time, also became convinced of the powerfully successful use of belladonna as a prophylactic against scarlet fever, and wrote a paper on this that was also published in one of the earliest versions of The Lancet (here: C.W. Hufeland, ON THE PROPHYLACTIC POWERS OF BELLADONNA AGAINST SCARLET FEVER. The Lancet, Vol. 2, Issue 296, May 1829, pg. 135).
You may want to also consider the extensive work compiled by Fran Sheffield of Australia of HP studies done since Hahnemann's time to today. I've attached that here.
The June 2016 issue of Homeopathic Links contains many further articles on homeoprophylaxis, including more information about further studies that have been conducted, noting its efficacy.
If I may be honest here, too, it is kind of odd, when it all boils down, that homeopaths themselves today are so very skeptical about the use of homeopathy as a prophylactic, when this has been done since Hahnemann's time. It has never "not" been done in Germany. Yet there are still homeopathic skeptics of "HP" in that nation as well-- I know. I've conversed with some.
Laboratory-confirmed evidence-- you will find this in Sheffield's compilation. Also, there is the remarkable randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study from Brazil that stands on its own. Additionally, the Brazilian meningitis study is good to take into consideration. Please consider Isaac Golden's book, Vaccination & Homeoprophylaxis: A Review of Risks and Alternatives, for even more information.
Kent himself said, and I paraphrase here, that homeopathy should be seen as a prophylactic as well as a cure.
The referenced study of Japanese encephalitis in India-- the one involving 20 million children-- was so profoundly successful that the Indian government recognizes HP as an accepted alternative to routine vaccinations.
I understand the hesitation among many homeopaths, when they see homeoprophylactic approaches that mimic the vaccination schedule-- and I fully respect that reticence. HP must be seen as something very different than vaccination. Disease should be respected and worked with, not feared. HP is a method, I like to say, of educating the immune system.
Properly approached, homeoprophylaxis is anything but allopathic. We work with minimum dose, with work with the law of similars. Repeated doses when no epidemic is present? Think of this as an education of the immune system. Golden's studies of this are remarkable, when fairly considered. I also work very closely with some German homeopaths who have practising and researching HP longer than Golden-- and they, too, have had and have published remarkable results. Please look up the works of Ravi Roy and Carola Lage-Roy.
If you are looking for specifics, as to why certain approaches for HP are used, please do rest assured, again, that there is not one single method of approach for HP. But the many homeopaths whom I've met who are utilizing HP are quite passionate about following homeopathic guidelines and philosophies in doing so. One book, again, by Golden, is called simply The Complete Practitioners Guide to Homeoprophylaxis. In this, you can read why he decided upon his method of approach.
I do not think that every homeopath should utilize HP. I think that individual choice should always be respected. Perhaps it is good to have skepticism in our homeopathic ranks, as it will help ensure the homeoprophylaxis continues to be very well-researched-- ever moreso than vaccinations. I simply feel if there can eventually become a general acceptance of the presence of the successful use of homeopathy as a prophylactic, those who choose not to use this in their practises can refer patients/clients who are seeking this on to those who do.
Again, I consider myself an educator, as far as homeoprophylaxis. I am glad you have asked for more information regarding HP, Rebekah. Because I am working on the next international HP conference, I really don't have a lot of time to write. But please do let me know if you'd like more.
Be well!

Be well!

Dear Cathy,
Please cite the "many studies" you mention on homeoprophylaxis being prescribed in a scheduled manner without an actual disease outbreak.
Best,
Rebekah Azzarelli

Indeed, Varun, I have full respect that there are varying views on homeoprophylaxis-- the act of using homeopathy as a prophylactic.
Homeopathy is a healing art-- a medical approach that needs always to be taken very seriously.
I will be open to discussing the varying views of the use of homeopathy as a prophylactic.
Be well!
