Ahhhh thank you ! I have both Aconite and Sulph pretty high on my own list too ... but I had been looking for a rubric that was more specific to the crying part. The "glottis spasm, < crying or getting angry" did just that !

The other thing that occured to me just prior to reading your post was that this child just seems to have smelled of poop for a solid 24 hours ... even after her bath last night when she was squeeky clean ... the odor hung around her ... which made me think Sulph again (in addition to it coming up in my repertorisation!). Sulph also has the "touch, amel", even though to a lesser degree !

Wow - thanks so much ! That exerpt pretty much hits it on the head ! Every time she is in one of those striders I think Aconite ... just by looking at her face. I just wasn't sure what potency to give as obviously I don't want to cause an aggravation. The lowest I have on hand in Aconite is a 6x I think !

And yes, the current conscencous amongst the pulmonologists etc is that she may just have floppy muscles/cartileges and that they will just have to mature/strengthen a bit more and that she might just grow out of it eventually. Obviously I would like to lessen the severity of the episodes though or actually hurry the process along some if I can !

Yes, you are right ... I can't be sure where the mucus is from. I "assumed" that it wasn't from the lung as a) the broncoscopy and the laryngoscopy determined (once again), that no inflammation and no mucus was present in her lungs and/or throat. However, I shouldn't "assume" as this may have happened since ! b) she has no noises in her breathing when she is relaxed or asleep ... so she can go from noisy/squeeky breathing to no sound at all simply by me stroking her feet or holding her hand or kissing her tummy, or holding her against my chest etc (this of course doesn't work in an acute strider episode, even though the usual baby calming techniques work there too if you catch it early enough). It is that which baffles all the doctors currently. Usually strider babies just have it all the time in varying degrees. If mucus was present, regardless of where, wouldn't said obstruction be there anyway and couldnt' just go away in a split second because she relaxes ? c) the mucus only appears after vomiting.

I will do some more reading up on the remedies you suggested though !
