Science. - Was Pseudomonas -- consistency

Post by Rosemary C Hyde »

Practitioners are a variable in any field, however scientific may be its underpinnings. Practitioners are people -- always individual. Rosemary

My cousin, who I am teaching the little I know of homeopathy, had his family energy worker over for dinner last night. He gave her single bottles of single remedies and asked her to tell him what she felt about them. Then, he looked in Vermeulen's Conconrant MM and found that she was right on in her descriptions. He does not know these remedies very well, so he was just playing with her. She had to wait a bit between remedies for the vibrations to wear off.

I am going to have to work on her so I will follow Dr. Roz's protocal for hyper sensitive people.

My point is, for some sensitive people, insensitive science is less important. There are many grades of sensitivity and it is fine for each person to work at his own level. Each level has a place in the world. This probably also includes those who can only know the results of double blind studies about disconnected facts with no philosophical basis. That's how they live. That's their level.

Blessings,
Ellen

Ellen: The point is we do not know if this sensitivity is in all
people, what the grades of this senstivity are, how sensitive we need
to get to get good results, how this senstivity will be affected if we
sit and practice with all our medicines, will we be then affected in
this senstivity if the patient has just drunk coffee etc. etc.

Consistent case taking according to the Organon and following most of
the general guidelines gives us that internal consistency as a SYSTEM
OF THERAPEUTICS-- because hahnemann strived to give us something that
is reproducible and to cut down extraneous noise. Collecting the
provers symptoms after a proving was not dependent on the proving
director's sensitivity at that moment-

- whereas playing this whatever way we want to removes this internal
structure we are trying to maintain...

If Homeopathy is a consistent institution, I agree with you. I doubt that anyone who is as sensitive as the person I just described could even come near remedies everyday, so she could not become a homeopath.

I actually bought Yubraj Sharma's Spirtual Bioenergetics and I don't know if I wasted my money or not. He is relying on knowledge of other systems, not just plain sensitivity. Like you said, I lack the background to evaluate most of what he says. So using his ideas is sketchy. But I am looking at what he says partly because I know just enough Chinese Medicine to get in trouble.

So yes you are right. But people like me always wasting a lot of time listening to what everyone has to say. It's our nature. The last time I looked into a crazy idea, it was homeopathy. And as I study it, it gets crazier and crazier. But I love it. And a lot of it is not covered by what I know of science.

Still, I do the ordinary mundane homeopathic analysis most of the time. And it covers most things. You are right most of the time.

Blessings,
Ellen Madono

But what about those patients who have seen perhaps several very
well-trained classical prescribers without help? From what I hear,
sometimes approaching the case in one of these other ways can yield a
remedy that couldn't have been found thru the traditional means...

Exactly - The THEORY is great but I personaly saw several highly rated
classical homeopaths - and can attest that not only did i get different
Rxs but they didn't help
How is that any moe 'scientific' than not?

As I said it sounds great in theory that Homeopathy be labelled
scientific' but Iv'e yet to see it fulfill what is impleid by that tag,
in consistant practice from the profession as a whole
remember when we say Homepathy is scientific we include the practice,
of the majority of quality practitioners

But Simon, I think you are dancing around and around my point! Altho
science *aims* for precision, it is *not* precise. Theories are set,
and discarded--sometimes quickly, and sometimes only after decades of
acceptance. Our "theories" are our prescriptions--when they work, the
"theory" was proved--for that patient at least, and within the given
time frame, and "science", as I said above, does no better.

Are you equating "scientific" with "infallible", or "precise", or ??

No But a science has to be quantifiable and I don't see how homeopaty
can be

There are many different experimental designs, some of which can quantify results with homeopathy as it is practiced in its seemingly non-quantifiable way. Rosemary

Sure but was that the context Chris meant when she used the term?
