Farewell Julian Winston

Post by Didi Ananda Ruchira »

Dear Gwyneth
(...and all list readers),

I just got back from travelling (village mobile clinics). So I'm only reading this sad long-expected news today from the lists.

Only a few weeks ago, Julian sent me a document on the Organon which I requested of him sometime back. His note merely said

"I promised this to you. Here it is...Glad I could do this for you."

I never met Julian except through these mailing lists, yet he was so thoughtful and considerate to remember & fulfil this small favour to, basically, a stranger in cyberworld.

My master used to say "It is better to work while dying, rather than to die working." His meaning being that up to our last moments, we should be active and never stop our endeavours in serving humanity.

Great personalities never actually "retire". By their very nature, they have no other choice but work for the greater good up to their last breath.

Julian was such.

My deep condolences and love to you, Gwyneth and your family.

Sarve bhadra'n'i pashyantu na kashcid duhkhama'pnuya't.
Om sha'ntih om sha'ntih om sha'ntih.
Let everybody be happy;
let everybody be free from all physical or psychic ailments;
let everybody see the bright side of everything;
let nobody be forced to undergo any trouble under pressure of circumstances.
God is Peace, God is Peace, God is Peace
