IQ29 - answer

Post by Feras Hakkak »

Hello,
The answer to IQ29 is Nux vomica. Many thanks to Lotfy Behra, Maggie Smith, Pantea Pourbehzad, Alireza Rafiee, Willy van Dregt, George Ugolini, and Afagh Barri for their correct answers.
Iotamed Quiz 29:
- Epilepsy from indigestion, or emotional stress like anger.
- Very violent convulsion with opisthotonos.
- Nervous, irritable patient.
- Aura: starts in the solar plexus (slight pressure on this region renews the attack); sensation of ants crawling over the face.
- During the attack: Tetanic rigidity. The whole body trembles. Involuntary escape of urine. Shrieking. Blue face.
- Agg: Emotional distress. Touch. Draft. Becoming cold.
- Amel: When the patient is grasped tightly.
An interesting point: Gelsemium, Nux vomica, and Ignatia belong to the same botanical family (Loganiaceae).
Sincerely,
Feras Hakkak
