Rubric different in some reps? why- more questions

Post by J.VENKATASUBRAMANIAN »

Hi all,
The need to update the repertories is important. But I am equally
perplexed at another common thing in repertories ( all).

If a remedy has a three mark grade in a sub rubric, and if you search
for it in the main rubric, you will be surprised to find it missing
there. Kent himself is on record stating that sub rubrics are only a
help and the main rubrics are the rallying point always. Does anyone
have any valid reasons for this?

In some cases it might be *only* the sub-rubric that has been
observed--e.g. let's say patients proving Remedy Q experienced cold
feet *while walking*, but not at any other time. One could then make a
case for *not* having Remedy Q in the main rubric for "cold feet", but
only under "cold feet while walking". I've heard it argued both ways,
and it seems the repertories are not consistent in that regard.

Chris and Venkat, thanks for more questions and answers, it made things
clear
for me.
I think its save to say then that its better to check more then one
repertory.
In book format i have Kent and Murphy, and one day i hope to have Radar !

I use mostly Kent repertory, and in the very begining of this book it is clearly written that arrengment of rubrics are done in such a way that it represents general to particular, so under the main rubric you may not find the particualr remedy which is written under the sub-rubric heading.
Each and every repetory has it's own basic philosophy and unique anatomical structure, so while going thorugh those repertories we have to aware of those things.
Even the gradation are different in various repertories.
thanks.....
