-Work = personal work as a job, everyone has to contribute to job in village
for it to function, the workers. work, duty, Job, rule, order rule, coming
back to route, practice and technique. Perfectionism, working hard, doing
it all yourself, but not like Silver/Gold Series perfection‹but the normal

-Age 20 40, normal age of development, normally the theme of working is
adulthood. Our society is a working society were they must work from 9 4.

Essence: forcing yourself to present your ideas.
--Forcing yourself to present your ideas -
They feel that they have to force themselves to present their ideas. It
is a heavy task and there is much work to be done. They feel the pressure,
but they have to carry on to get the job done. A daily struggle to master a
piece of music. A tremendous effort to write their book. A heavy task to get
their Ph. D. research project under way. But somehow they find the strength
to persevere, they are very independent and resolute in their ways.
Forcing your ideas onto others: convincing
They are terribly enthusiastic about their profession, whether it is
art or science or politics or spirituality. They exude an air of knowing how
to do things, all they have to do is convince others. They like to convince
others that thy are right, that their ideas should be accepted. They are not
to be deterred by objections or irrelevant details.
In Holland we have a comedian who perfectly fits this picture. He
carries on with his act with a dead pan face while the whole audience is
collapsing with laughter.
--Opposition against creations -
They experience their inspiration as a form of pressure, something
which can only be realised by a lot of hard work. The pressure is in the
creative process itself, but they tend to experience their surroundings as
an opposing force as well. The pressure they have created inside themselves
gets projected onto others who are felt to be uncooperative. Other people
are jealous and hinder their artistic talents. Other people hamper their
creative work. The little tasks of every day life get in the way, they act
as a brake instead of a point of focus. They want to have plenty of time,
space and money to concentrate on their creations without being interrupted.
They tend to get very angry when things don't go according to plan.
Adverse comments drive them mad, they can't bear criticism because it feels
like opposition and they need all the strength they have got to persevere
with their project.
--Planning a work of art -
In order to be able to cope with the large amounts of work they like to
plan their days ahead. Learning the lines of a play requires endless
repetition.
But inspiration can't be planned and the schedules they have
constructed often don't work out, so they are always busy drawing up a new
plan.
--Failure through forcing their creations -
When their plans don't work out they collapse into a worn out and
apathetic state. They have forced themselves too much, not taking enough
rest and finally breaking down under the pressure. The smallest task now
seems like an impossible ordeal, the most minor detail a tremendous source
of irritation. They are a failure and they no longer have the courage to
appear in public. Every form of company is too much for them and they
withdraw into themselves.
A persevering sportsman, - woman
This is the top sportsman who has to train hard to get to the top. The
extreme training schedule may break him up eventually, before he can reach
his goal.

he is under great pressure to perform, there is no time for other pursuits
and criticism is felt as opposition to his plans which makes him very angry
Proving‹RUTHENIUM met
--By Kees Dam, Vera Kopsky, Yvonne Lassauw, Huib Wijtenburg. -
Poetic and light footed. Happened to be playing some of Beethoven's
music and wanted to make ballet movements and pirouettes.
Heavy feeling in head, fullness, as if in a vice, nausea with
eructations, must lie down which ameliorates but makes me irritable. Want to
keep my feet high.
Making slow circular movements with arms and legs, but I don't feel it,
there is no weight, no body, 'I am not there' it is as if I am a fairy.
General feeling about the remedy: alternately light footed, floating
(fairy) and bumping your head against the ceiling which causes a heavy
feeling in the head; nausea, causing you to lie (the force of gravity gets
too much). All strength has drained from your limbs. Also a pain in the
inside of the left breast, squeezing, rhythmically contracting.
Sudden bouts of laughter. I am reminded of my aunt who didn't pass her
driving test until the eleventh attempt when there was no traffic on the
road at all.
Later on in bed I feel as if I have got flu, weak, sick, like a wet
rag, afraid that I will be 'knocked out by this flu tomorrow'.
Dreams: lots of cats, very beautiful, they are all sitting very quietly in
the window of a very exclusive shop. Some of them even have a delicate chain
running from the inner corner of their eye to their ear. They are probably
very expensive. Even the cheapest one costs at least a thousand pounds. They
are beautiful kittens but their eyes are very sad. At the back of the shop
is a section of antique books and erotic postcards. It was a very refined
sort of erotic prints, something from the end of the last century. It showed
a naked man lying on a sofa, the room bathed in the soft light of candles.
He is covered by a delicate blanket of batiste and a woman is bending over
him. She is dressed in fine lace, only her buttocks are naked. Later on
everything becomes a bit eerie, something to do with incest. A dirty little
man, like a thin old professor, did something he shouldn't do.
A girl who doesn't know the town (homesick, Ruthenium) wants to see
some of the sights (Culture, Silver series). I show her a big imposing
department store (Silver series) which sells dresses that have large houses
printed on them; enormous rolls of material, very expensive (Silver series).
On the outside of my right thigh I developed five itching spots. I also
got some on my left leg later.
Today, while I was talking with a patient I suddenly saw my patient's
vagina (sex, Silver series), it was quite separate from her body, something
which I should sing about (Silver series), or which should be painted in
candle light.
During the next consultation I have a vision of my male patient lying
naked on a sofa, covered with a fine batiste sheet.
A courtesan, lying on a sofa, holding a beautiful crystal glass filled
with the best champagne, someone lighting a sigarillo for you, you lean
forward for a minute and then sink back in the cushions, decadent, refined,
but missing inner strength, the upper classes, 'languishing', yearning,
everything is handed to you on a golden plate. But at the same time quite
calculating, anything to make an impression. Exaggerated, languishing,
poetic, lyrical, subtle tactics.
I am ascending, floating, I wish someone will go down on his knees for
me, that someone will look up to me. Elitism, courtiers, paint glass
windows, aesthetic, painting.
Image of a call girl, she has style, very beautiful but expensive,
slowly building up the erotic tension during the course of the evening. The
pain comes from not finding a buyer (the kittens), from being dependent on
the higher aristocratic classes.
All sorts of French poets spring to mind: Guy de maupassant 'les jeunes
filles en fleurs', Pascal, but not Balzac. I can only enjoy the music of the
film 'The piano' when I lie down. That way I can fantasise and spin a story
around it; great expectations, a higher plan, all my dreams will be
fulfilled without any effort; all I have to do is to be inspiring, to be
beautiful, to have lots of money and to wait until someone turns up.
Slept badly for several nights. Often awake from 2.30 am to 3.30 am,
making plans for the holidays.
Dream: I was looking for a plot of land at the edge of a wood, to build
a house. But most of the plots had already been sold, there was only one
left. I was not sure whether I would be able to get it, but I desperately
hoped I would (the theme of looking for a space for myself is very much a
part of my own life at the moment).
Very 'speedy', nervous, restless, palpitations, but I achieved a lot;
painted the practice rooms, cleared up, worked out many cases. I couldn't
sleep after 5-6 am, so I got up and did all these things. But I was very
clumsy at times, dropping things all over the place. Looked at the moon. Was
my sleeplessness caused by the full moon?
Dream: I am clearing up a very dusty old house. I hadn't finished yet
when I woke up. (It reminded me of a Carcinosin dream: a large tree near a
house with three stories, of which the attic needed to be cleared). To my
mind I was now clearing the attic of that particular house.
I woke up in a fright in the middle of the night. I looked at the
fluorescent face of my alarm clock and felt that someone with bad intentions
was shining his torch at me.
When I woke up in the morning I noticed that my alarm clock was facing
the other way and then I suddenly remembered what had happened in the night.
During the first half hour after I woke up I felt as if I had a
hangover: dizzy, light headed.
Burning feeling in my forehead, in the middle, above the eyebrows (I
have some slight eczema there).
At 7 pm a terrible tickling cough (had been at the dentist in the
afternoon to have a crown fitted).
Woke up feeling: I am a good doctor (or someone told me I was?).
Image: Jonah as a small child with earache.
Dream: I am at home and at the back of the house is an enormous pile of
rubbish. Amongst this rubbish there are some beautiful motorbikes. I walk
amongst this rubbish in my oldest clothes. Then my landlord appears
accompa-nied by some gentlemen in smart suits. I don't feel at all
threatened because I am on my on territory (usually I would feel very
uncomfortable in those circum-stances), but I do but I do go inside to
straighten my clothes a little, because I feel it will put them more at
ease.
I feel ill at ease, 'unheimish' (Ruthenium), Didn't sleep well, speedy.
We did a lot today: decorated my practice room, I didn't want it to be just
functional, it also had to look beautiful from now on. I was much more
decisive than usual.
Felt like dancing.
In the evening a terrible pain on the inside of my right knee, where I
had had a meniscus operation in the past.
The next day a Ruthenium patient phoned to ask if I would read and
comment on a book her husband had written: 'The last year in freedom'.
A patient makes me say that I am the best father in the world.
Fishy smell in vagina and stinking feet.
Pain in right testicle (a few days ago it was the left one).
Dream: I was in a car with Ischa Meyer (A chat show host on T.V.) and
he was in a hurry to find a house to buy. It had to be big and beautiful. He
walks past several large, nice houses but he can't get near them because
there are low iron railing fences with spikes blocking his way. He is
frightened of stepping over them so I drive him back in his own car. Then he
gets very ill and says: I have so much pain, I won't make it. There was a
lot of blood coming from his anus (associated with a feeling of glass in the
anus).
He had a dilemma: he had to choose some people to appear on television
and he was afraid that his choice would be different from what everyone
expected. This was the final blow for him (Ruthenium). When we arrived in
town he got out of the car and disappeared in the crowd.
Dream: there was a big meeting (Scientology?) in a large hall. I had
bought a ticket and there were two duplicates which the organisation had
kept for their own files. On the day of the meeting I turned up but realised
I had forgotten my ticket. I put it to them that they could either look
through their files to find proof of my payment, or they could trust me and
let me through. It was very crowded, masses of people going inside
CASE‹Ruthenium met.
A 48 year old man suffers from hyperventilation. He feels afraid wherever he
goes, in tunnels, in cars, traffic jams, planes, shops and particularly when
he is teaching. It feels as if the sky is falling down on top of him. The
fears are accompanied by pain in his chest, cramp in his heart and shocks
throughout his body. His hands and feet turn cold and he gasps for breath,
his oesophagus feels as if it shoots to his back. He feels he will faint
when he hears about accidents or when he sees blood. He feels as if he is
floating, as if the tables and chairs are moving. It started 14 years ago
when he collapsed one day when he was teaching and he thought 'I am going to
die'. It feels as if his heart will pack up. The worst of it is that
something is happening in his body that he can't control, that his body
seems to rule him, instead of the other way around. He also has fear of
heights, a fear that the building will collapse or that he will get another
attack.
He teaches first aid. It is a great hobby of his and he is very good at
it. But he can't handle it anymore at the moment so he has given up
teaching. It all got too much for him, he felt he had to give his best
performance at all times. He felt afraid that he would suddenly forget what
to say and that people would think him a failure. He is afraid people will
look through him and notice his fears. He feels like Cyrano without a nose.
It also bothers him that other people in the group are talking about his
'case', that his breakdown is being discussed by others. It makes him feel
that his shield is being pierced by a knife.
His hands feel tired and numb in the morning. When he cycles he gets
cramp in his thighs.
From the age of 18 he has suffered from high blood pressure, but the
medicine he takes for this gives him nightmares. He dreams that everything
becomes very large or very small. It wakes him up and then for a moment he
doesn't know where he is. The room around him is either very huge or very
small. He also dreams of a stranger or an animal lying in bed next to him.
He gets the occasional head cold, his head feels stuffed up in the
morning, especially on the side he has laid on, agg. dust. It is accompanied
by a raspy throat. He has had problems with his vocal cords before. Once he
lost his voice altogether.
Sometimes he gets stitching pains and cramps in his stomach, with
eructations and occasional vomiting of bile.
He gets itching pain under his dentures.
He comes across as a likable man who talks a lot. In fact he speaks so
fast that he sometimes swallows his words. The first and last letters of
every word don't get articulated at all. He looks like Toon Hermans (a Dutch
comedian).
He dreams about falling into a ravine. A typical dream (after Argentum
nitricum 1M) was that he drove his motorbike up a mountain with someone
sitting behind him. At the top he discovers that there is a sheer drop on
the other side. Fortunately he discovers that he can fly. The feeling he
gets in this dream is the same as the feeling when he is teaching: it all
seems to be terribly heavy and difficult beforehand, but once he is doing it
it turns out to be easy and light.
--Generals -
Weather: slightly cold, cold hands.
Perspiration: sometimes profuse at night.
Time: agg. morning (3).
Desires: salt, spices, sour (2), meat, fatty meat, skins, cheese.
Aversion: peanut butter (2), fat.
Food: headache from spicy food.
Sleep: difficulty getting asleep.
Analysis
The problems around teaching are quite remarkable. He feels he has to
give his best, he is afraid of being a failure, that people will look
through him and notice his fears. He feels like Cyrano without a nose. All
these feelings are characteristic of the Silver series.
The feeling of having to give a top performance indicates Stage 8, the
stage of force. The ride up the mountain is another indication of the
beginning stages, the run up to the top. But he has obviously gone past the
very first few stages (Zirconium or Niobium) because he has been teaching
for quite a while. He knows he can do it and he doesn't have to learn more
(Technetium). His problem is more that he doesn't know how to keep it up,
and this is typical of the Ruthenium stage.
The aggravation at 11 in the morning is also a Ruthenium symptom.
The hoarseness and loss of voice also belong to the Silver series,
while the rapid speech and swallowing of words indicate the running up
stage, once again fitting with Ruthenium. It is a sign of pressure and
haste, wanting to say a lot, having to get your ideas across.
Reaction
After Ruthenium 1M he feels much better on the whole. His mental
problems don't bother him anymore and he feels more at ease with his chosen
profession. After a few weeks he starts to teach again and six months later
he is in full swing again. His fears are more or less gone.
He had a dream in which his friends dived off a boat and sank to the
bottom of the lake. He dived in to get them up to the surface again, but he
was afraid of running out of breath. However, the water proved to be clear
and shallow and it was easy to bring them up.
He generally finds solutions to his problems in his dreams.

Group analysis
Pushing the organisation ahead.
Forcing power: crisis management.
Establishing a large organisation.
Persevering as king.
Insight into power structures.
Leading the organisation through making plans: strategic.
A forceful leader.
Having to achieve as a director.
The pressure of responsibility.
Planning the foundation of the organisation: strategy.
Failure through dictatorial behaviour.
A king who is being opposed.
Forced sex.
Picture of Osmium metallicum
Essence: persevering in exercising leadership
--Persevering in leadership: steadfast -
The feel they have to make a tremendous effort to exercise their power.
The task is huge and the responsibility weighs heavily. They have to put
their whole weight into this venture to make it work. It is as if they want
to create a kingdom out of nothing. They know that it is no mean task they
have taken on, but they also know they can do it, because they can handle an
awful lot of pressure. They are relentless in pushing through their plans
and they won't hesitate to sack people if they need to.
Forceful power: crisis manager
They often look for work that involves the reorganisation of a business
within a very short time. They are very good at 'clearing up the rubble'.
They know how to get the dispersed energy of an organisation that has grown
too fast for its own good back together again. They cut through deadlocks
that have been created through too much compromise. They solve the problems
that the direction doesn't know how to handle any more. They love acting as
crisis manager in businesses that have come adrift.
--Planning an organisation: strategic -
They have a very sharp insight into the structure of an organisation.
They often know long before anyone else where the potential problems are
going to arise. They are very structured in their way of dealing with these
problems. When there is a tough nut to crack they are there to deal with it,
their long term vision knows that these actions are necessary for the future
of the business.
Opposed as a king
But when they want to bring about necessary changes they are likely to
run up against other people who hesitate and splutter because they can't see
the use of all these new measures and who consider these plans to be a
personal attack on their own integrity.
So the other people will often oppose their plans out of jealousy or
out of spite. As if the task isn't difficult enough already! They have
difficulty dealing with any outside circumstances that may slow them down.
Their daily routine is seen more as an impediment than as a point of rest in
a busy day. They would rather get on with the task in hand than be
distracted by the by the day to day things. But although they don't like
opposition, they are not to be deterred by it, they carry on regardless.
--Failure through dictatorial behaviour -
Their pushy sort of power may eventually be their undoing. Either the
pressure becomes too much for them to bear, because they can't relax and
take a break from being responsible all the time. Or they might attract too
much opposition with their forceful behaviour. This can happen especially
when they are dealing with older leaders who will get annoyed by their
arrogant behaviour and their 'know all' attitude.
Sisyphus
The Osmium theme is represented by the legend of Sisyphus. He condemned
to push a huge boulder up a hill. He set about his task with all his power,
it was an enormous struggle but eventually he managed to get the boulder in
motion and to roll it slowly to the top of the hill. When he was nearly
there and he already thought he had made it the treacherous rock escaped his
grip and bounced down the hill again. So the poor conemned man had to start
all over again. And when he had nearly reached the top once more he lost the
rock again (Schwab).
Here we see the immenseness of the task and the sheer impossible
strength that is needed to complete it. This is typical of Stage 8. We also
see that Sisyphus is on his way to the top but cannot reach it. An
interesting aspect of this story is that Sisyphus was the founder of
Corinth, a typical city state (Gold series).

Whereas Osmium is under great pressure to establish a business within a very
short period of time. He has not time for endless board meetings, there are
decisions to be made and deadlocks to be broken, otherwise the organisation
will never get there

CASE Osmium met (Scholten)
A 40 year old woman has a whole series of complaints. The first one is a
severe allergy, which makes her sneeze, with a watery, biting discharge from
the nose and headaches that make her feel as her eyes are being rigidly
fixed in her head. Her neck and shoulders are often stiff too. She has
difficulty breathing, ameliorated from stretching her back. The complaints
are agg. cold, changes of weather, in May and June, dogs (3). cats (3),
birds, smoke, mimosa (3), grass, exhaust gases and house dust. Sometimes she
has a hollow cough. As a child she used to get asthmatic bronchitis.
A second complaint is an irritable bowel. She suffers from wind, with
much distension, the flatus often smells of rotting slurry. Her abdomen is
sensitive to touch, the pain is agg. touch, clothes, sitting a long time,
changes of weather, walking long distances, fat and cream, and amel. stool,
stretching and putting her hand on her stomach. These complaints are clearly
related to stress.
A third complaint is pain in her joints and muscles, especially in
neck, shoulders, lower back and right hip. The joints are swollen,
especially in the wrists, worse from sitting still for a long time and
eating salt.
The stress has to do with her work. She has her own organisation advice
agency. The work load is varying, sometimes very busy, sometimes not. She
says: 'I have made a business out of clearing up other people's rubbish',
which refers to the quarrels her parents used to have. She always had to act
as a go between. She has a sharp insight into the patterns of an
organisation. She can predict years in advance what will happen if they
don't take certain preventative measures. Other people are often surprised
when she is proved to be correct in her forecast. She says she is a pushy
sort of woman. She doesn't give up and often takes on more than she can
handle. She does her job, and she runs the house, and she studies and she is
doing some alterations in the house at the moment. She also has time
consuming hobbies like making her own clothes and repairing cars. She loves
using her hands. She has a slight fear of heights.
She is happily married, but they didn't want any children. On her part
this choice was based on her own unhappy childhood experiences.
--Generals -
Weather: cold (2), agg. draught (2), agg. change of weather; amel.
outside, amel. mountains (2), agg. sea, agg. damp.
Perspiration: sometimes on waking.
Time: agg. 5 am, agg. 8-9 am.
Desires: spices (3), sour (2), wine, juicy fruit.
Aversion: radish (2), sweet, milk, cauliflower, sprouts.
Food: agg. fat, salt, eating too much.
Menses: painful (2), a sensation of drawing and stamping in her
abdomen; tired, irregular; breasts painful and swollen.
Sleep: unrefreshing, can't relax; short; tingling arms and legs on
waking.
Physical: amel. motion, agg. sitting long.
Analysis
Her job as an management advisor indicates the Gold series. She takes
the lead temporarily to get the organisation on the right tracks again. She
is pushy, works under pressure and doesn't give up. All these are themes of
Stage 8. These two themes combined give us the remedy Osmium.
Her fear of heights also fits the Gold series.
Symptoms belonging to Stage 8: creating a job out of clearing rubble,
strategic, recognises the patterns in an organisation, takes on more than
she can handle.
Her stomach complaints and the stinking flatus were typical of Osmium.
Reaction
After Osmium 200K the stomach problems gradually subside. She develops
a different outlook on life, doesn't want to work under pressure anymore.
She would like to do something a bit more creative. Later on she got several
more doses of Osmium 200K and 1M to help her through this process.
The hayfever however wasn't touched by this remedy.
--Proving -
Reaction of a patient after Osmium 1M.
A strong feeling of detachment.
Dream: I had to look after (Gold series) two children who were exactly
alike, they were twins. They belonged to a friend of mine. I took them to
the swimming pool but the water was dark, like a lake. One of the twins
could swim, the other couldn't. I am not a good swimmer myself so we started
of by doing nothing and lay down to sunbathe for a while. The boy that
couldn't swim disappears in the water and I jump after in and just manage to
grab him by his swimming trunks and drag him up on the side. No sooner had
he been revived or he jumped in again (persevering, Stage 8). The water has
become clear and now I see a ledge on where the shallow part ends and the
deep end begins. He jumps and hits his head on this ledge. He is killed
instantly (Gold series). I feel responsible (Gold series) and also angry
because he did it on purpose. The other boy is laughing sarcastically, as if
he knew all along that this was going to happen. I didn't dare tell the
parents that he had done it on purpose.
Stomach ache above the groin, right sided (Gold series), in a vertical
line along the stomach. Stitching and burning pains, as if the stomach
lining is inflamed, as if the whole inside, including the ovaries (Gold
series), spleen and liver are affected and inflamed. I am thinking of cancer
(Gold series) of the ovaries.
Little spots or lumps

PERIOD 6¹: Lanthanide series: Samarium
=============================
6¹ LANTHANIDE SERIES
Autonomy,Control,Responsibility,
HELPER-Vision/Eye-World/Old age
Challenge of Ordeal like Hercules. Responsibility.
Searching one¹s inner world. Precocious (children), Wise.
Working Hard and Working Alone. Castaway.
Helper instead of Leader. Shunning Leadership and Recognition.
Heaviness. Emptiness and Lack of Contact. Tension.
Electromagnetic influence (affects electrical equipment). High sexuality.
Pairs/twos.
Bird tribes , (birds connected with Lanthanides same qualities, desire
for freedom, electro-magnetic frequency.), Lanthanides are Precocious,
passionate, ironic, self-willed, sensitive ( like birds). Lanthanum long
neck like bird. Irony is a diversion so you can¹t be responsible for what
you do.
Heaviness (Actinides).
--very SENSITIVE, can be hurt easily, all Lanthanides can be, DDx Carc
-- Lanthanides force and spiraling /turning and +ve/-ve poles
--IMMUNITY-- Auto Immune Diseases Arthritis, Rheumatic, MS, Crohns, etc.
--Eye problems
--Self-mutilation, self-destruction
--Vaccination reactions
--Migraines.
--Metabolic problems with toxic effects in liver
--Physiog‹large eyes, may have vertical crease in middle of forehead,
--Sensitive to atmosphere. Like sun, often hate gray weather.
--Misc-affinity for pastel blue color.
--Inventive so they can be in control. Contrast with Silver series
inventive for its own sake.
--Discovering one¹s inner self. Buildup of inner strength before they can
go on building up outer layers.
--Looking out sides of eyes is peculiar for lanthanides. Lanthanides are
sincere, honest, worried. It seems like shameless honesty. When you want
to understand yourself, you can¹t cheat, or you don¹t understand yourself
any more.
Looking to left PT = fear of not gaining success or not being able to reach
it
Looking to right PT = wanting to hold onto success ex. stage 11 and other
stage later = loss of what they have gotten
--Lanthanides have to do it yourself. Two things Hercules were not
allowed to do: get help or get money for whatever he did. How can you get
help for self-control? Aspect of Stage 6 too. Gold Series is series 6
also ³do it on your own.²
--Lanthanides have to do with immune system. Stage 15 has loss of immune
system, which is AIDS.
--³Black hole² sensation is generic to Lanthanides more you go to right in
the series, the more obvious and overwhelming it is. In Ytterbium (leper is
stage 16) it¹s there only when they can¹t keep control. In Stage 15 it¹s
completely there. Feeling rejected, outcast.

--SAMARIUM = Sadomasochism
--Migraines classical very strong if visual disturbances also. Samarium
is strongest Lanthanide for headache, b/c of pressure in the head. (Gold
series too). When migraine is what they actually come for, Samarium is
often indicated. If it¹s part of a whole series of symptoms, other remedies
may be indicated.

PERIOD 7: Actinide series: Plutonium
===========================
7¹ACTINIDE SERIES
The Actinides are very similar to Actinium of the Uranium series, just as
the Lanthanides are similar to Lanthanum, the third element in the Gold
series. We can therefore probably apply the concepts of Stage 3 to the
Actinides, and also to Plutonium. Otherwise not as yet not further
described. BUT ³heavier² and more behind the scenes than lanthanide
series..

Plutonium metallicum (Proving Links 95)
Series 7¹‹Actinide 94-Plutonium-- In the proving of Plutonium (11
provers, one dose of C30 or C200, all aware of what was being tested), the
following groups of symptoms or themes could be established (see also Fig.
1):
- Feeling of extreme gravity
- Fatigue, exhaustion
- Feeling of decay, disintegration into different identities
- Permanent feeling of existential threat
- Spontaneous reckless aggressiveness
- Deep religious feeling or philosophical thoughts
A number of provers put things in order; others started to clearly
follow their own intuition; their confidence in their personal activity
increased.
The above symptom groups became more and more apparent during the
proving and served as a guideline in the more than 70 cases where we
prescribed Plutonium.
Feeling of extreme gravity
- which presses down and which could even push through the floor (1)
- wish to lay down on one's back and on the floor (1)
- feeling as if having put on 20 kilos over night (5)
- body seems to be like lead (5)
- the head is very heavy, like an enormous weight; has trouble keeping
his head upright, he has to support it so that it doesn't fall (4)
- holds his head with both hands at his temples and his forehead, only
his little fingers touch each other (1, 4)
- feels the weight of his body/the pull of gravity (2)
- notices that the earth sticks to him, annoyed that he depends on
earth to that extent (2)
Fatigue, exhaustion
- continuous attacks of fatigue, but they disappear quickly (2)
- fatigue (5, 2)
- paralysing fatigue (6)
- work takes a lot of effort (5, 2)
- lack of enthusiasm (5)
Feeling of decay, disintegration into different identities (1)
- the prover feels that he changes identity depending on where he is
and whom he is with (1)
Permanent feeling of existential threat (1, 2)
- fears his own defeat, if he dared to insist on his own will and
inclination (1)
- notices a worrying and menacing pressure he cannot deal with when he
is with people (2)
- sad that she cannot live as she would like, feeling of too much
obligation/constraint (3)
- fear of ecological catastrophes (1, 2)
Spontaneous reckless aggressiveness; the prover would like to clear her
way of people who are driving slowly in front of her, showing no compassion.
The prover felt like a machine with a fixed speed that wouldn't accept any
obstacle. (11)
Phylosophical / Religious
Deep religious feeling (1, 2, 6)
Philosophical thoughts (1, 2, 6)
The provers 1, 2, 7 and 9 put things in order after having taken the
medicine.
The provers 1, 2, 6, 8, 9 and 10 clearly follow their own intuition
more; their confidence in their personal activity increases.
The number(s) following each symptom correspond(s) to individual
provers.
Fig. 1 Symptom Groups of the Plutonium Proving
The central idea of plutonium
is the sacrifice of the own inner way/destiny or the suppression and
blocking of one's inner human powers. Consequently man is not able to learn
about his destiny. His essence/being ('atomic nucleus') decays into various
personalities ("multiple personality", a topical term in psychotherapy).
These different personalities stand for various constraints and they become
apparent as masks or different roles which the individual tries anxiously
and compulsively to fulfil. Therefore strong efforts are made to
compensate/to hide this decay.
High ideals and relapses into chronic exhaustion (chronic fatigue
syndrome), depression and feelings of inferiority result from this
disintegration. A further attempt to stop decline and decay is an increased
sense of responsibility, such as children who try to prevent the family from
disintegrating. When essence/being decays, extreme tension and feelings of
panic can emerge. Those around perceive this as 'unshakeable will',
outbursts of reckless aggression or severe depression. Clinically, we were
able to observe the curing of auto aggression diseases, asthma, heavy
menstrual bleeding, anorexia, chronic fatigue syndrome, hypertension,
neurodermatitis, multiple allergies and hypersensitivities, immobilising
sacroiliac pains, severe gastro-enteritis with menacing exsiccation,
psychosis of a 13 year-old boy with the delusion: 'every adult, parents
included, is a teacher.'
We think that the Plutonium disease can be cured if we admit with
confidence the often painful disintegration of masks and roles, and if we
abandon expectations, constraints and moral ideas about how life ought to
be. Instead we need to accept being as it is and return to our essence, that
is to say to move from strict ideas about being into conscious being itself.
P L U T O N I U M Register of Symptoms
Symptoms of mind and temper
1) Decay and disintegration
- Feeling of decay and disintegration into different identities (1);
- the prover felt clearly that he changed identity depending on where
he was and whom he was with. (1)
2) Threat and fear
- permanent feeling of existential threat (1, 2)
- fears his own defeat if he dares to insist on his personal will and
inclination (1)
- intense sacralgia forces him to walk on all fours. The candidate
feels like an animal (dog) or like a disrespected little child who is not
yet able to walk upright and who is not integrated. This feeling of
disregard is conveyed/created by his brothers and sisters.
- annoyed that he is abandoned with his pain
[Plutonium-topic: the hurt child; as for the adults, their inner child
is hurt. Furthermore children are often exposed to superior adults and
consequently not able to get their own way.]
3) Obligation and expectation
- sad that she cannot live as she likes, feeling of too much obligation
(3)
- the feeling of being externally forced to keep on going and to do all
kinds of things; she feels too much is asked of her (3)
[This prover had also a series of dreams in which she expected things
or reactions from other people which she didn't get; even while dreaming she
realised that her expectations were not justified. Thus, this attitude of
expectation is only the counterpart or complement to obligation. We often
found the symptom of feeling obliged to meet the expectations and
obligations of one's environment coupled with very high expectations towards
one's surrounding]
- more defence towards moral and obligation (2, 3)
4) Fears
- fear of falling ill, the prover's fear of getting cancer improved
(11)
- fear of having a slipped disc with sacralgia (2)
- fear of ecological catastrophes (1, 2)
- state of panic (various times clinically cured)
- claustrophobia with state of panic, e.g. in an aeroplane (various
clinical cures)
5) Aggression
- spontaneous reckless aggression; the prover would like to clear her
way of people who are driving slowly in front of her, without showing
compassion. The prover felt like a machine with a fixed speed that wouldn't
accept any obstacle. (11)
- aggressive fantasies; the prover had fantasies about what would
happen if he threw his own son over the bridge or if he went at full speed
by car through the pedestrian precinct.(2)
6) Sadness and weeping
- extreme weeping (2)
- weeping because of extreme pains in the sacrum area (2)
- weeping because of physical pain develops into weeping because of
emotional pain (2)
- sadness is improving in the presence of others (6)
- sad, quiet; if alone a profound introverted feeling (2)
7) Restlessness, memory, concentration
- restlessness (1, 4, 5)
- restlessness; doesn't find any place, or position in which he could
relax, is hanging with his stomach over a chair (1)
- restless walking around (1)
- higher mental lucidity and better concentration (2, 10)
- commits writing mistakes, mixes letters up (2)
- forgets nicknames of his closest relations linked with an improved
general mental performance and ability to learn (2)
8) Relationship
- relationship disturbances (2)
- notices more distance between him and his wife (2)
- he reproaches his wife (2)
- sensation that he gets love and affection for granted makes the
prover very happy (1)
- feeling that he can allow other people more space when he meets them
(10)
9) Order and work
- puts things in order (1, 11, 2, 7, 9)
- buys new files (7); feeling that she is keeping too many things in
her old files
- he enjoys tidying things up, doesn't feel obliged to do so as he
would normally feel (11)
- high degree of willingness to work (11, 2)
- he feels more like working (2, 9)
- dislike of work (2)
- performed immediately all tasks that required to have been done for a
long time (2, 9)
- more determined and active, he is in a good mood (2, 9)
- missed an appointment by oversleeping (5); (which had never happened
to the prover before)
- dislike of attending patients, would be happy if some of them
cancelled their visit (2)
10) Intuition, own will and expression, philosophy and religion
- more confidence in his (own) intuition and activity (1, 2, 6, 8, 9,
10)
- feels more self-assertion (10) e.g. prover realises that it is the
person working for him who has to meet his (the prover's) requirements, and
not vice versa
- increased determination (10)
- full of energy (2, 5, 8)
- intense, religious feeling (2, 1, 6)
- more balanced, calmer, more patient (8)
- calmer, less irritated/annoyed being with his family (9)
- within the proving period prover 1 takes the decision to go to New
York together with his double-bass, wishing to practice his favourite music
style, improvisational music, at Cecil Taylors and there he develops a
strong passion for Sufi-literature.

another car; he felt embarrassed about the accident and couldn't accept it.
Several patients had similar dreams of car accidents after taking plutonium.
The German notion "Auto" (car) derives ethymologically from the Greek word
auto = self; thus, auto in the interpretation of dreams could stand for the
basis of human nature itself, that wants to be auto - nomous and to act
correspondingly.
CASE STUDIES Plutonium metallicum
Case 1
Woman, born in 1966. Diagnosis: asthma
The patient arrives with severe difficulties in breathing at the
surgery. She reports:
Asthma since her 8th month, "Nobody cared about my treatment" she says
and tells immediately about her family:
mother: addicted to alcohol and medicine, attempted suicide
father: violent, "quite a lot has happened". Her father hit her, when
her opinion was different to his.
She had to prevent her mother from drinking alcohol and protect her
from her violent father. She tried to bring her family together and felt
responsible for her mother in particular. Her father blamed her for the
suicide attempt of her mother, because she had moved out of her parents
home.
The patient has a very high expectation of herself to do well. Also
concerning her disease she tried everything, psychotherapy, homeopathy etc.
As nothing helped she has reached a certain point and cannot continue. She
thinks of suicide.
Three weeks ago she aborted a baby which was not from her boy friend.
Analysis:
The patient tries to be responsible for the whole family situation
which is in a state of disintegration. The patient is completely unable to
cope with this situation.
Course after Plutonium:
After having had strong first reactions, the patient showed up again at
the surgery a fortnight later. She said: "I am fine, I have never ever lived
as intensely as I have these two weeks. I could let go of everything, I can
accept my boy friend as he is, that is a completely new experience for me. I
have learnt to act and decide for myself now." (To act and decide out of
one's own essence. that is a cured Plutonium state!).
Her whole life and her asthma took a noticeable turn since.
Differential diagnosis: Carcinosin
Case 2
Mrs O., born in 1963. Diagnosis: Hypermenorrhea and chronic state of
exhaustion.
The patient suffers from strong menstrual bleeding. The haemoglobin
dropped several times to 5.
Several hospitalisations and blood transfusions had been necessary. The
removal of the uterus should take place in five days.
For one and a half years the patient has been suffering from two
difficult family situations:
1. her sister's divorce in which the patient assumed the role of an
mediator and was abused. " Everybody comes to me and tells me everything."
2. her father decided at that time not to leave his bed anymore and was
only drinking alcohol. "He simply gave up on himself." The patient and her
mother had cared for him the one and a half years until he died three weeks
ago.
The patient reports that it has always been like this, that people come
to her and confide in her. She simply cannot say NO: " I feel responsible
for more than I should."
Absolute favourite book: Stephen King, IT.
In order to encourage herself in unsafe situations, the patient has
even learned by heart one sentence from this book, in which the stutterer
dares to speak to the cruel IT.
Frequent dream:
She drives her bus close to the abyss, but always manages to turn the
steering wheel.
Temperature: freezing, cold hands and feet
Desire: Tomatoes with mozzarella, sometimes voracious appetite for
chocolate, fish
Other: Caesarean when having her first baby.
Analysis:
As in case 1 we can find again the patterns of disintegration, threat
and, as a consequence, the attempts to solve the situation.
Disintegration: her sister's divorce, her father who was addicted to
alcohol and needed care.
Threat: the threat, which is reflected particularly in the patient's
favourite book (Stephen King, IT), is a result of disintegration.
Rescue: in this case again, the patient's 'attempts to rescue' are the
main cause for her illness.
Clinically the longing for fish and chocolate were noticed several
times when plutonium was taken.
Course after Plutonium:
The bleeding stopped within some hours after she had taken the dose.
The patient cancelled her operation with joy. A fortnight later, the patient
seemed to be calm, stress had fallen from her and she felt a clear distance
to her sister and her brother-in-law.
Differential diagnosis: Natrum muriaticum; Carcinosin
Case 3
Boy born in 1990. Diagnosis: Neurodermatitis, behavioural disturbances
The patient suffers from neurodermatitis at his wrists, elbows and knee
joints.
He is aggressive, throws things around (even aiming at people); on the
other hand he is very sensitive.
He insists on what he wants and wants either everything or nothing at
all. He always wants to be the centre of attention and plays up when being
observed. If nobody takes notice of him, he becomes angry.
He enjoys dancing to rhythmic music.
I prescribed Tarantula hispanica in high potency for one and a half
years with success. When his father was taken ill with a dangerous
carcinoma, another relapse was provoked. Tarantula didn't help anymore.
The behavioural disturbances of the patient are even more striking now:
He developed into a complete outsider, 'he behaves like the boss himself',
however, he reacts extremely sensitively when being blamed. When furious, he
growls like an animal. He shouts stupid words such as 'you potato king'.
Although it's his father's life which is in danger, he says to his mother:
'if you die, I will dig you up'.
Desire: a thick layer of butter on his sandwich, pickled gherkin, and
recently meat.
Analysis:
A clear disintegration of his personality/nature:
- on the one hand very aggressive, on the other hand very sensitive
- dominant behaviour but nevertheless intense sensitivity
- the disintegration into human being and animal, the patient growls
like an animal when he is furious which contributed to the idea of
prescribing him Plutonium.
- The existential threat of a possible death of one parent.
Course after Plutonium: neurodermatitis is healing, his behaviour is
improving.
Differential diagnosis: Tuberculinum, Tarantula
Most frequent differential diagnosis with plutonium: Tub, Carc., Nat -
mur, Med., Tarantula, Lac. Can., Scorpio. (Links 1995)

Picture of Plutonium nitricum
--Prehistoric -
The first theme is that of pre history. There are dreams about the
neolithic era and about Neanderthal people. It is all about primitive
instincts, male aggression and sex.
Genetic
Linked to this is the theme of genetics and the feelings of all our
forefathers from time immemorial. The sins of the family are felt deep
within, as if they have been passed on endlessly, from one generation to
another. This is also connected to all genetical deviations and the
formation of the DNA. They can have dreams about half animals-half humans,
the upper half being like a dog, the lower half being a fish. They dream
about creatures that emerge from the water and then disappear down into the
water again. We might associate these with mythological figures like
mermaids or centaurs. But it also reminds us of the possible results of
genetic manipulation.
--Magic Out of body experiences -
The theme of magic is very strong in this remedy. They are searching
for a sacred stone. There were tantric experiences like being penetrated by
a giant penis, right up to the crown of your head.
It is as if they stand above the world. They are very tall, with long
arms. They also leave their body very easily. In their dreams they are
watching from above, they don't participate in the dream initially, they are
just observing what is happening so that they can participate when they
repeat the dream and they will know exactly how to act.
The other, negative side of the coin is expressed in dreams about
fallen angels, the lost paradise and bats hanging upside down from a tree.
--Broken glass -
Broken glass is a recurrent theme. Like the breaking of glass in the
night of crystals.
--Expressions -
Dreams: bats, heaven, competition, battles, fights, war, fallen angel,
large penis, beer, DNA, Neanderthal, aboriginal, 94, blood in mouth, between
heaven and earth, green sea, blue sky, radar, comets with tails, flashes of
light, radioactivity; repeating, first time observing, second time
participating.
Delusions: being stretched out and very tall, isolation, northern
lights.
Irritability: primitive aggression.
Mood: alone, empty.
Sexual: primitive male sex.
Characteristics.
Desires: pork, raw meat, blood, ham, fat.
Physical: onset after radioactivity.
