sutherlandia and cold fingers

Two questions for you, please:

1. Has Sutherlandia been made into a remedy? Today on Public Radio
International's The World, I heard about Sutherlandia, a plant that,
according to them, grows wild in many parts of South Africa, and has been
used for generations to combat a variety of ailments. In initial tests,
backers say Sutherlandia improves the wellbeing of people who test positive
for HIV, and even of people with full-blown AIDS. What's more, The World says
it comes at a fraction of the cost of expensive Western AIDS medications,
including so-called anti-retroviral drugs, which can dramatically prolong the
lives of sufferers.
2. Help with a symptom: my fingers are often freezing. When I eat
sugar/carbs and wait 15 minuts to a half hour, they warm right up. Cold
again after another hour or so. How do I rep that?
