I just moved across country and have been having lots of problems now with allergies. I am trying local honey. I heard it works and I figure it couldn't hurt. Not exactly homeopathic I know though, sorry. The producer I get honey from says the bees have a 15 mile radius that they travel in and that my house is in that radius. If anyone can shed some light on that I would appreciate it. I wish you luck and will be waiting to see what others write. There are some amazingly intelligent people in this group. I love to see what others write in hopes of helping others. That is what health care is really all about.
Eczema can be brought on by foods though. I have two children that get that only when they eat something they shouldn't. One gets it on his eye lids and the other in her ear. Just a thought. I know some people eat foods only as they are traditionally available seasonally, like me and strawberries. I rarely eat them out of season but very much indulge when they are in season and are just perfect.

Eczema can be brought on by foods though. I have two children that get that only when they eat something they shouldn't. One gets it on his eye lids and the other in her ear. Just a thought. It is most advisable that you see a classic homeopath in your area. As you know there are many remedies for allergies so the homeopath would have to work on your individualized case. In homeopathy we do not treat the disease but we treat the patient. What will cure your allergy might not cure your friend because she is a different individual.
Allergies are considered serious pathology as the immune system in compromised and in some cases it might take 2 seasons for the condition to be completly cured.

I recently read an article that talked about the increase in allergies due to our immune system not working properly. Our immune system needs something to fight and that through our overuse of antibiotic soaps and vaccines (not a fan of) is causing our immune system to react to benign material. What do think about this?
I ask because I found your reply very thought provoking. I know my immune system is not what it should. My son is autistic in part because of my family history of autoimmune disorders. Most of us have at least one. I have been concentrating my efforts and money in making John better and avoiding the obvious with Zach and Kelsey (no shots, rare use of meds, and healthy foods)
It sounds like we all need some help and sooner rather than later. I have been plagued with allergies since I can remember. I had a homeopathic allergy med that I found while in California that worked wonderfully. It even worked for an allergy to one of my friends cats that would leave my eyes swollen and my chest tight. It doesn't really work now that we are on the east coast. I guess I was never taking care of the actual problem. I am also starting to notice some slight allergies with the boys. I am still very new to homeopathy but I really like what I have read and experienced so far. In looking for a homeopath are there specific credentials to look for or avoid?

Hi Melissa
it is good that you are placing such an effort in trying to improve your health and that of your children. Yes, living in a toxic environment - too clean, too many antibacteria soaps etc. are killing everything even the useful ones and the most opportunistic bacteria can easily overwhelm a system.
I used to feel regularly run down and end up getting cold and some allergies, but since I have been treated homeopathically I seems to get just get a small sniffle when people around me are down for weeks. It took a while but it was worth it. I avoid any form of antibiotic and use more natural ways of cleaning (baking soda, vinegar, etc.). Of course organic food really helps.
If you are looking for a homeopath you can search for one on the Minutus.

I would love to learn more about Homeopathy, can anyone recommend any books for us beginners. I have the Impossible Cure-The Promise of Homeopathy by Amy Lansky. That is the only one though.

homeopaths throughout the US and Canada, and you can see if there's
someone you could get to. The ones that the website owners have
personal knowledge about are in bold, but the others are at least known
to them to have classical training (some of the methods that are called
"homeopathy" have little or nothing to do with what it's *founder*
taught or intended!).
