Always feeling cold
Always feeling cold
Hello,
I would like to share the following case with you on which I cannot
find the correct rx, so probably I do something wrong.
Half a year ago I helped a friend who had chronical obstipation,
Before she had all kind of threatings, special diets, massage,
drainage etc. Her homeopath gave her 1 dose Ars (C200) which didnot
do anything.
I gave het 1 dose Nux-v which cleared this case.
Another problem was that she was always cold (even in een warm room
of hot weather, she can shiver). She remember having this problem
after she was in a car accident. She was not hospatilized, but a few
small cracks in her cervical vertebrae was diagnosed.
This always feeling cold is the main problem now, together with
claustrofobia in places without windows (like elevators).
Towards friends and family she feels guilty because she is still
cold when everybody is sweating. So they have to put the heather on
on her behalve.
She is working as a sterwardess, so on irregular base.(irregular
sleeppatrons, eating, jetlag). This doesnot bother her, nor does it
cause any problems.
She is very neat and fastidious. (towels color by color in the
closet and folded in a special way) She says that this can bother
the persons she is with. (At the moment she is living alone and has
a friend, who also travels a lot).
What bothers me most is that even in holidays. She has a full
scedule, is always going from one to another. Just at home to dress
and sleep. Het agenda is full of dinners, partys, movies friends.
She says that one of her bad habits is that she doesnot allow
herself any rest. In between she goes to hairdressers, nailstudios,
Reikimasters, pedicures, beautystudios, fysiotherapist (and I still
believe that I have forgotten some).(I have no idea to repertorise
this, except for : desires company)
Still, she claims that she has no problems being alone, which I do
not believe.
She is full of energy, cheerful, positive, happy and furtheron has
no complaints. The cold feeling is really her main problem.
I am stuck on this case, because in my repertorization most points
to Ars (which did not do anything the first time. In the mentals of
this rx, I do not see my friend.
Any suggestions are more than welcome.
Best regards
Willy

Re: Always feeling cold
Willy,
I believe you need to take a closer look at the circumstances surrounding
the car accident as this seems to be the main point of etiology for the
current state. Was your friend this nervous before the accident or is this
also something that falls under the NBWS. It does appear from what is
written that Ars does rep high, perhaps when it was given the first time
there was no response due to the Nux layer being on top of the Ars. Perhaps
you want to try another dose of Ars or better yet, get a better picture of
what has changed from before and after that car accident.

Dear Willy,
Have you considered Camphora? It can be very good for
to obtain raise in body temperature. Camphor taken in gross form produces
lowering of body temperature, and when potentised under about 12X has the
same effect, but higher potencies have opposite effect and produce a rise in
temperature, and by potency selection and dosage the duration can be
determined to some degree,

Dear Willy,
Further to my earlier reply and suggestion of Camphora,
I tend to also agree with Donna Earnest, that there may be other
complicating factors involved persuant on the car accident, so that although
Camphora may help symptomatically, it would very likely leave other issues
to be dealt with, Regards, Tony, www.no1derland.com

Re: Always feeling cold
A couple of things strike me that might yield a bit more information for you:
Why is she going to all these practitioners? From the list it's unclear if she's extremely anxious about her health, or her appearance, or if she mainly wants to be "magnetized" or if something else entirely is at the root. How does she feel these consultations help her? What would happen if she didn't go to one or another of them?
Also in closed spaces without windows, what is she most afraid of? How or where does she feel that fear? How do windows feel helpful? Any experiences she can remember in closed spaces that provoked anxiety, perhaps in her early childhood? In fact, how was her childhood?
With the chilliness, what makes it worst and what helps it most? When is it worst or best? How does it affect her typical day? Where is it mostly located? How would she describe the sensation (icy, shivering, ....)? Anything else that happens in her body when she feels chilled? How does she feel emotionally about it?
How is her stool now?
How about sleep, appetite, food dislikes or likes, thirst, dreams...? (Get a picture of her overall being, not necessarily symptoms, but traits). Over her life, which locations and organ systems have consistently been problematic or weak (then you can find out more about what has happened to make her point these out)?
If you can learn at least some of these answers you'll have a stronger basis on which to choose a remedy.
Good luck!

Re: Always feeling cold
Hello Rosemary and Tony,
I tried to call me friend, but (ofcourse) she is not at home. I will try to
fill in some gaps
About teh practioners. I believe to know her well enough, to say that this
has something to do with finding quick solutions, staying forever young,
solving the problem. A few weeks ago, she was here and somebody told her
that she had wrinkles around her eye.
She was constantly checking if this was true, asked me about it and
yesterday she told me that she might go to a beauty parlor were they inject
with some kind of botox toe get rid of them. Two years ago, when a
relationship ended, she seeked help of a psychiatrist and went to the reiki
master (which she still does, the psychiatrist is a few times a year at the
moment).
All the others she sees on a frequent base( once a month).
the last two questions according this subject, I will ask her.
In closed places she is mostly afraid of suffocation, not be able to get out
if something happens. If the elevator door opens a little late, she pancis.
She also told me that if everybody would panic than she will forget about
herself and starts to help (I wonder if this is true).
The windows give her a connection with the outside world
As a child, she was an easy child (verified with the mother, who speaks
about the ideal child). She was a lot outside and did not have problems with
cold or warm. She was rarely ill, although she had cystitis often.
the chilliness is always there. the place on her body, which are cold are
toes and nose. It helps if she covers up or put the heater on full power.
She bought a solararium and feels very relaxed on it.
This is what she says: Because it is cold, I always sit wiht shoulders high
etc (tensed) which causes back pain and neck pain.
Only when it is warm she can relax her pose
She can still shiver on a hot summer day. Further on the chilliness does not
give physical, emotional or mental problems.
After the Nux - v she went to the toilet and from this moment on she has a
normal (daily) stool
She is a good and sound sleeper (although irregular because of the flights,
but this doesnot give any troubles)
She wakes up at night to urinate, but is still sleeping. Normally (if not
flying) she wakes up between 08.00 and 09.00 and feels good even if she had
a late night. Dreams are not remembered
She drinks a lot (water ed) and calls herself thirsty, after two hours of
not drinking she get a dry mouth. She has an aversion to shellfish and
saurkraut.
I really believe that casetaking was oke, but on repertorisation I get suck,
because most of the sx I find in one rx, totally lacks in another. So
probably there is something wrong with the intepretation of the facts.
Best regards
Willy

Just a thought. My thoughts are that if the Nux Vom worked so well why don't you repeat it. It is the first remedy I think of for shivering during a fever and it is also there for the claustrophobia. These people tend to be workaholics- always busy. Does she have any other Nux Vom traits? Nux is in the rubric for fastidious.

Re: Always feeling cold
Dear Willy,
Well I would strongly advise against the Botox etc.
injections, as you might find she is wanting treatment for the aftermath of
that! There are much better and more natural remedies for wrinkles, a simple
one is daily massage with a natural-based moisturising cream - there may be
more effective natural remedies also, or even a Homoeopathic anti-wrinkle
cream. I think such a thing exists, but have no details ATM, perhaps another
Minutus subscriber knows of this?

Although thee are windows in a plane, I find it paradoxical to be

Without having repertorised, I would first consider this as a SRP and look
