I thought you might all be interested to know that following the success of
Jamie's school dinners programme highlighting the awful food being fed to
school children and the incredible emotional and physical benefits from
eating good food - a subject close to our own hearts - there is a campaign
called "Feed Me Better" which has advice packs and information, and a
petition which will be taken by Jamie Oliver to 10 Downing Street fairly
soon. It has gained over 10000 names in the last two days - it would seem
that the more word spreads , the more people sign, and it has a place to
write comments so it is quite a powerful tool in getting across to ministers
what the public think on this issue. You can find it at www.feedmebetter.com
spread the word!

Re: Nutrition at schools
Pleased to hear it as I am fed up with seeing overweight kids choosing a plate of chips and a cream cake for their lunch + the ubiquitous highly coloured aspartame loaded "Power" drinks when I do a supply teaching day !!!
