Primary Amenorrhea

Post by jessesgirl817 »

Hello,
My name is Cheryle. I have a daughter, Sarah, who just turned 13
last month. She is about 5' tall and weighs about 115 lbs. She is
not overly active. She has been taking EPO for a few months to help
with her moodiness, etc.
She started having pubic hair and breast development when she was
about 9. She has been having the signs of getting ready to start her
period for almost 2 years. She has had bloating, cramping,
moodiness, breast tenderness and breaking out on her face. She was
seen by my OB/GYN and had a visual vaginal exam to confirm that she
did not have an imperforated hymen. She also had an ultrasound to
see what her uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes looked like. We
were given the all clear there too. He said she should be starting
soon and to just wait; That it is not uncommon to wait until she is
16. In January she had a couple of drops of blood when she wiped
and nothing since.
I am not sure if I am over worrying but she is starting to. My
mom, sister, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, my sister's oldest
daughter and myself all started our periods when we were between 9
and 10 years old.
I am wondering if I should have a hormone work up done and/or if
there is something either homeopathic or herbal to give her.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheryle

Hi Cheryle,

It sounds like your daughter has *many* things that would be hugely
helped by homeopathic treatment! FWIW, there is nothing *at all*
abnormal about not menstruating at age 13, but the bloating, cramping,
moodiness, etc., do suggest imbalance, and homeopathic treatment should
sort all of that out. Is this a possibility?
Shannon
