[H] Specifics in homoeopathy

Hello,

Hahnemann often used the term homoeopathic "specific" in his writings.
His definition of a specific, however, is a remedy that is chosen by the
essential nature of the totality of the symptoms of an individual or group
suffering from diseases of common cause and similar symptoms. There is no
one specific for any disease state at all times in all places but there are
groups of remedies that are relativity homogeneous to certain well defined
syndromes like the acute and chronic miasms or the failure of a certain
vital organ.
