Glandular fever and pneumoniaUPDATE

I spoke to Mum this morning who said her daughter had been "settled in the night" and was quite comfortable. Her sclerotics don't look as yellow she said.

Her daughter phoned at 2 pm to say that she felt OK today. Her temperature started to rise at 10 pm last night and she immediately took the Belladonna I left her. She said she went to sleep without feeling too hot,sweaty or that she had to uncover. She feels warmish still but feels this is not a temperature and that it is under control. She has slept a lot - which I said is her body healing- and that she feels much better. On retrospect I felt that maybe Apis would have been a good choice for the fever with little thirst but it looks as if the Bell did the trick.

I had given her Sulphur 30 because she felt so warm when she is normally chilly and also in the hopes that it may antidote some of the effects of the anti biotic. I have also given her Carduus M in a herbal tincture - 6 drops to be taken 3 x a day to detox the liver. I know some on this list may disapprove but I feel it will do no harm and possibly a lot of good. She didn't mention her respiration which I look on as a good sign. I told her to contact me before our next appointment if there are any further changes .

I know that Carc is the usual remedy for glandular fever and would be interested in any use of this. I think I would only give it if there was a NBWS situation or I felt se wasn't improving fast enough. I think she is doing Ok considering she has only had the disease 2 weeks. Oh yes I have since discovered that a cough is not mandatory in pneumonia as I thought it was (probably because mine was so bad when I had it many years ago!!!)
