Jeremy Sherr, England
Woman born April 1919.
This woman has been under homeopathic treatment for fifteen years, and has
been seeing me for eight years. She has had many remedies, but with only
slight improvement and never any substantial change. Some of the remedies
she has had over the years are Arsenicum album, Rhus toxicodendron,
Lycopodium, Ignatia, Tuberculinum, Calcarea phosphorica, Hyoscyamus, Natrum
carbonicum, Platina, Mercury, Carcinosinum (and more).
Observations: Face heavily made up, hair dyed blond, rings on every finger.
Generally she is suffering from indigestion and allergies to food. The liver
feels 'off'. She had infectious hepatitis. Much worse from various foods
like wheat, smoked foods, coffee, fried food, chicken, eggs, etc. She has
indigestion nearly every morning. Feels bloated and distended.
Extremely hungry and worse from hunger, much better from eating.
'I'm inclined to start at the end of my story rather than at the beginning.'
Feels slow and sluggish, no energy. Constant allergic rhinitis; 'My nose
drips like a tap, profuse water'. She had it cauterised but still suffers
from allergies and constant coryza.
She wakes with palpitations.
Difficult memory, can't remember names or what she was going to say.
Always complains of being rejected and forsaken by her daughters, yet her
daughters always complain that she is extremely controlling of their affairs
and plays one off against the other. There is a constant interplay, with her
complaining about the daughters and switching sides, and the daughters
complaining that she is over-controlling. She constantly feels that they do
not love her or pay enough attention to her.
She has always loved to travel. She has traveled all over the world: Africa,
Asia, and South America. She goes away at every possible opportunity.
'As a child I felt rejected by my mother. She didn't show me any love and my
father was hard. I fell in love with a man when I was eighteen. I felt he
was my real soul mate but it didn't work out and we had to be separated.
Although I'm married I've always thought back to him.'
Sometimes she feels isolated and unloved. At times she tends to sigh
frequently. She loves animals and is very sympathetic to them: 'I cry ifI
see animals hurt or any kind of cruelty to animals.'
'I have a problem with a neighbour who has a leaking tap that always floods
my flat. It has been flooded a few times but I can't get him to fix it.'
She has receding gums, and profuse salivation. Lachrymation. Urination
frequent, especially at night. Diarrhoea. Vertigo with a swimming sensation.
Feels 'as if in a roller coaster'.
She hates the damp weather, which makes her feel worse. Generally she feels
better in the spring.
She has many thoughts about sex. Constant dwelling on sex. Highly sexual as
a teenager and had many short affairs with quite a few men. Dreams are
usually sexual.
'As a child there was no warmth in the family. I was never hugged or kissed,
never loved by my mother. I felt I could have murdered her. She used to
manipulate and control me. My father was warm and loving andI loved him a
lot but I always felt lonely in the family. I messed up my love affair and
ended up marrying someone like my mother.'
Remedy prescription: Oncorynchus tschawitcha (Chinook salmon) 30C, two
doses.
Reaction Feeling much better. Lachrymation, salivation and rhinitis much
better.
Indigestion has improved vastly. Overall symptoms are better. Feels good in
herself. Big change in the relationship with her daughters, who called me to
report her improvement. This improvement has continued over three years,
with occasional repetition of dose.
Some of the themes from the proving that indicated the choice of remedy
were:
Recurring water symptoms *Rhinitis *Diarrhoea *Swimming vertigo
*Lachrymation *Salivation *Urination *Floods
*Long-lost soul mate with yearning *Over-controlling mother *Love of travel
*Wears many rings (circle theme- start my story at the end) *Sympathetic to
animals *High sexual desire
Dynamis School will publish the full proving in the near future.

Re: Salmon & Goldfish
Hi
I wonder if anyone has any experience of treating a patient immediately
following surgery for eye removal?
The person has not had sight in left eye since age of 8 following an
accident with a claw hammer - major trauma and as I said no sight. he has
had numerous operations over the years to try to alleviate pain and glaucoma
Sx etc -. Nothing has been successful. The main problem being PAIN which no
allopathic intervention has alleviated. He is also dyslexic and left handed!
The person is now 40 and a decision has been taken to remove the eye.
Surgery is to take place in early Feb. As far as I know he has never had
homeopathy.
I have been asked to recommend Rx for post surgery from a family member who
regularly receives homeopathic treatment ( She has his full agreement and
consent on this) . Apparently the main problem immediately is severs
swelling post surgery - so much so that it appears an eye is still in
place - and this can take up to 7 weeks to settle.
Obviously Arnica is a major consideration but I wondered if anyone on the
list has any experience of this type
Thanks
Joan

((( Joan, no experience with such a case. But :
Hypericum would be a strong consideration possibly for the case as a whole and the original injury, as the eye is richly endowed with nerves, and Hypericum has dyslexic symptoms. If he has impotence, that might clinch Hypericum as the simillimum for the case since the unresolved eye injury at age 8.
=======
Hypericum
-----------------------------------------------
Injuries of parts rich in sentient nerves. Intolerable pain accompanies the injury.
Piercing wounds from sharp instruments, gun-shot wounds, crushed wounds such as, mashed fingers, punctured wounds as those caused from taking on nails, needles, pins etc.. Even rheumatism, bunions, corns etc., call for Hypericum when the pains are disproportionately severe, indicating involvement of the nervous structure.
Excessive painfulness, therefore, should be considered an index of the remedy.
This remedy is also useful in incised or lacerated wounds, in injuries of the spinal cord and in bad effects of spinal concussions. Hypericum prescribed at proper time after such injuries, prevents lock-jaw. It is of great use in pains after a fall on the coccyx.
The headache of Hypericum is peculiar. The patient feels as if he is lifted high into the air. He is in great anxiety lest he should fall from this great height.
In vertigo the head feels elongated. It starts troubling at night time and is frequently associated with a strong desire to pass urine.

Pain: amputation, after, phantom pain. {4> 16> 0} [111]
Makes mistakes in writing, omits letters, forgets what she wanted to say.
--but also for post surgery, hypericum would be an early consideration. Sulphur also listed for problems after eye removal (the eye opposite to the one removed is listed in Hering/Knerr). Am sure there are other rx to be considered but Hypericum might be the one to consider using ASAP if other symptoms agree. I hope it all goes well.
Best,
Andy
