Dear Colleagues

For reasons better known to themselves, the Society of Homoeopaths changed the spelling to the American spelling.

I am advised by Bernice Benjelloun (Published in the Homeopath No. 83) that Hn (who was a linguist) had earlier protested!

Read NB in the second volume of MM pura (page 1 - 1st edition 1881) which refers to this issue.
He expresses anger about the diphthong (OE) being left out by some writer. He points out that the omission actually distorts the Greek meaning making it the root word 'homoeis' which means "the same" rather than similar!!

"Cannot these persons feel the difference betwixt 'identical' and 'similar'? Are they all labouring under the same malady or stupidity? Should not anyone who ventures to step forward as a critic of the 'spirit of homoeopathic doctrine' have to begin with at least some idea of the meaning of the word 'Homoeopath'?

Any comments please - and why did the Americans change the spelling in the first place??

The proof of the pudding is in the eating!

When one can see something with one's own eyes and hear with one's own ears, why the heck does one need to rely on some flawed experiment that tries to evaluate Homoeopathy using methods that do not individualise around the patient.

I have given you evidence from the BBC TV which is for ALL to see. To remind you, this treated a herd of dairy cows where just distilled water had no effect. I remind you that cows don't buy the placebo effect!

I also refer you to Homoeopathic hospitals in London Liverpool, Glasgow etc which are UK Government owned hospital and treat patients on a daily basis. If they did not help the patients, they would soon be closed.

I refer you to libraries of case notes of patients treated by homoeopathy where conventional medicine had failed.

I refer you to the cholera epidemic in LONDON in the late 1800's where uniquely Homoeopathic hospitals were able to cure majority of the cholera patients referred to them. In the House of Commons (UK Parliament) this evidence had to be dragged out of the person in charge who had not given the statistics from Homoeopathic Hospital because he regarded Homoeopathy as unscientific despite the fact that it was better by far!! Hah.

I have invited you and your fellow anti-homoeopathy campers to join in a proving experiment which enables you to experience the dynamic effects of Homoeopathy first hand. I have promised that the stuff you call just placebo, will in fact MAKE YOU ILL.

I think this frightened the hell out of you lot and you are not brave enough to put up personal stakes and therefore because words are so cheap I think, as John Major the Prime Minister of UK said to his opponents, you should either put up or shut up.

The offer of you joining in a proving shall remain open and I eagerly await your response that you will volunteer to take part in a proving. However, refusal to accept leads to only one conclusion and a colour seems to come to mind!!

Dear David

The original tincture (extract) from which homoeopathic remedies are made
will probably kill you! I would have thought that you knew that some of
them are extremely poisonous such as Arsenic, snake venom or plant extracts
such Aconite which was called wolf bain as hunters in the old days used to
dip their arrow heads in this stuff when they went hunting for wolves so
that when the arrow hit the wolf anywhere on his body it would kill the
wolf.

The substance to be proved is made from the tincture which has been diluted
and successed well beyond Av's number - that is to say 12C potency or
greater. This if prescribed on the basis of symptom similarity would bring
about cures and symptom relief.

However, if not given on the basis of symptom similarity and repeated
often - i.e. in a proving, it will then start to produce a set of symptoms
which have been well recorded. That is to say, you will become SICK. The
more you delay reporting the symptoms, the sicker you will get and the more
intense the range of symptoms.

Before the tests starts we will write and seal in an envelope the name of
the remedy to be proved (trialed) on you.
You will have to sign a formal agreement showing that you are volunteering
and that you will have NO CLAIM WHAT SO EVER against anyone involved in this
proving should you become sick through it. This will have to be notarised
by your attorney. Should you wish to proceed, I will advise to you other
procedural points that you will have to solemnly agree to.

You will have to report to the office of a volunteer homoeopath who will do
some checks to make sure you are suitable for the trial (If you are showing
too many symptoms already it will be unwise for you to take part in such a
trial).

You will then be given the remedy on a daily basis until symptoms develop.
This will need to be witnessed by a homoeopath.

When you start reporting symptoms and a decision is made to stop the
proving, we will open the envelope and compare your symptoms with those
reported in the homoeopathic materia medica.
You will not be able to fake the symptoms because the remedy I have in mind
has very DEEP and profound effects! You will be sick and dis-eased.

I look forward to your colleagues and yourself volunteering. It will
certainly be an education for all concerned.

The original of Lachasis will KILL you!!!

For info on it go to any library where they have book on Homoeopathic
remedies.

Lachasis is a deep remedy and I would not propose trying it on you. The
original prover lost the use of his arm because he was not careful enough!!

Don't fool around with Homeopathic remedies. They are small - sue, but like
atom bombs they don't half pack a big punch!!

I would have no objection to you having the remedy analysed by any lab you
want.

You will need to give me your full contact details pls (address tel/fax) so
that I know where you are so as to be able to make arrangements for you.

I am trying to draw up a protocol so that it is fair to both sides of the
argument.

If you or your colleagues have experiences of similar trials and proving,
please send these to me so that I can take them into consideration and avoid
the same pit-falls.

You have not volunteered yet, but I am hoping that with your help we can
make it such that if (and we live in hope) at the end of the trial you are
happy that Homoeopathic remedies have an effect and you too want to
broadcast it, then it will not be open to criticism that it was not done
properly or it was flawed or fraudulent.

I did not understand what you meant about the remedy being analysed twice?
You can analyse them as many times as you like by who ever you like.

I promise not to give you any crude (chemically detectable) substance. They
will be in potency and at 30C i.e. diluted 1/100 thirty times. The remedy
will be issued by a pharmacy in UK and I have already discussed it briefly
with them.

My emperor is fully clothed thank you, and whatsmore its colour does NOT
resemble that of the middle of the visible spectrum!! Although the same
cannot be said of some of those who read this mail.

Look - we have been surrounded by Radio waves since the beginning of
creation. Yet it was only about 100 years ago that a method was invented to
detect them.

With out this detection unit (The Radio) you have would been ignorant about
the existence of such waves, yet that does not deny their existence. When
Marconi discovered them, did he know exactly how it worked - NO.
We still probably don't know fully.
Mankind still knows little, and the more he knows, the more he knows he
knows little.

The same applies to Homoeopathy!

It is a proven fact that Homoeopathic remedies are safe in trained and safe
hands. It is also a tenet of proper homoeopathic practice to use 'proved'
substances. All the proving information comes from such experiments as
being proposed here on volunteers. All I am proposing is for some of you to
volunteer (as some have already & THANK YOU) and reprove a remedy which will
have profound effect. You can then compare what has happened to you to that
recorded for that remedy in the Homoeopathic Materia Medica and see for
yourself that the effect is REPRODUCIBLE.

What you have to understand is the too much of something is poison, a little
of it is food and minute amount of is medicine.

Take the table salt as an example.
Too much of it will kill you fairly quickly.
We need A little of it as part of our diet.
A minute amount of it (or its essence) in the form of the remedy Nat Mur has
fantastic properties as a medicine.

The challenge is still open and you may extend to all who think the same as
you.
But rest assured that I will have your safety in mind if you do and we will
stop as soon as you have had enough! You will have discomfort for sure.

But perhaps if the experiment (re-proving) stimulates you enough you will go
one to show how it works and perhaps even win that Nobel Prize (remember you
will have to share it with me!!).
