Editing replies to the mailing list

It seems some folks don't edit their replies
to the yahoo mailing lists.

Please don't repeat several screenfulls of text
just to add a 1 sentence reply. Edit it to just
the sentences or paragraph you want to reply to.

If you are going to comment about a picture or
website, etc. it helps if you tell us WHAT the
Uniform Resource Locator is or what picture
you are refering to.

Don't use strange abbreviations and acronyms
without explanation. People can't always guess
what some acronym means like: "HDLC" for
"Hydrogenated Diamond Like Carbon" and other
obscure terms.

Try to make subject line resemble the subject
the post is about. Too many posts have absolutely
NOTHING to do with what the subject line says.

The yahoogroups mailing lists do NOT allow
attachments to be sent, or any special
non ASCII characters.
That is good for all the subscribers who do NOT
want large attachments and possible computer
viruses in their emailbox.
Put files and pictures in the files or pictures
folders for the mailing list.

Why do some ask for "private e-mail address"
of someone on the list? Just send your email
to JUST the email address of the person on
the list you wish to contact. The e-mail
addresses are shown at the beginning of
digest messages.
Then the rest of the list doesn't see it,
nor does it fill up everyone's mailbox.
