Computer question re saved documents (off topic)

Post by J Lucas »

Try using Sherlock (or equivalent) to locate the documents on your hard
drive at least then you will know if you did actually save them or not.

Probably best to save downloaded docs to your desktop first, then you can
file them yourself and know where they are.

Best wishes, Joy

Yup, the documents are there, but listed on the directory as a size of "0",
and when I open them they are empty. One that I saved that way *did*
download successfully, but three others haven't. I *assume* their age is an
issue, but dunno.

When only the url has been saved with zero size it means that something went
wrong when downloading and the docs are not there. You need to check your
download manager history and this will tell you what went wrong. Then you
will need to download again. Might be worth doing a test download of
anything just to check what is happening. Hope useful, Joy
