rubrik help

Post by hovipups »

Hi,
I'm looking for a rubrik for the following condition:

the person doesn't see any value in why she is alive. No matter
what she does, even if she helps other people in some way, she always
feels that she shouldn't be alive and she is of no value.

this will eventually lead to more severe suicide thoughts and even
attempts, but the feeling descibed above seems to always be present.

Any ideas where to look?

thanks christa

Thanks so much for the ideas. This gives me something to look at.

Another one is:

Trying to let go of some previous love. This person is
totally 'in love' with this man which never really returned that
love. He always was very good to her, but never loved her. Although
he sends her all the signals of not wanting to have anything to do
with her, she can't let go and keeps thinking about him daily. She is
almost obsessed with him. On the other hands knows that he doesn't
care.

Where can I find this?

thanks christa

Oh, boy; I need to know this one, too! Got someone hopelessly stubborn
for 14 years now....

Sounds like totally classic nat-m ("falls in love with the coachman"--i.e.,
someone unavailable), but for rubrics I don't know what exactly would fit...
I'd look more at what's "around and under" the behavior--what lack is this
filling, or does the pattern echo other parts of her life?

But for e.g. nat-m is one among 50 remedies under "ideas, fixed"; could also
look at e.g. "romantic", "dwells on past disagreeable occurrences" (even tho
it's not actually "past"), or ailments from things such as mortification,
being scorned, or any emotional reaction that she reports? Also
"impressionable", "impetuous", "jealousy"??? (I don't know whether any of
these apply, but have to see what's in the rest of the case.)

To add to Shannon's = mind, love, 'love sick' sounds about right. Perhaps
more Ignatia than Nat mur but depends on the rest of the case.

Some ideas:

MIND; AILMENTS from; scorn, being scorned (27) : acon., adam., alum., aur., bell., Bry., Cham., coff., coloc., falco-p., ferr., hyos., ip., lac-c., lyc., nat-m., Nux-v., olnd., par., phos., plat., rhod., sep., staph., stront-c., sulph., verat.

(in this case, that is what has happened, even if the scorn was mild, and the response was only continued obsession)
MIND; AILMENTS from; love, disappointed, unhappy (40) : acon., am-c., androc., ant-c., Aur., bell., bufo, cact., calc-p., caust., cimic., coff., com., con., dig., hell., Hyos., IGN., iod., kali-c., kali-p., lach., Nat-m., nux-m., nux-v., orig., ozone, Ph-ac., phos., pitu-a., psor., sac-alb., sep., seq-s., STAPH., stram., sulph., tarent., til., verat.

(maybe not likely really, but must be mentioned)
MIND; DWELLS on; past disagreeable occurrences (58) : agki-p., am-c., ambr., arg-n., asar., bani-c., benz-n., borag., bros-g., calc., carc., caust., cham., chin., cob-n., cocc., con., conv., cop., form., glon., goss., graph., haliae-lc., hep., hydrog., hyos., ign., kali-c., kali-p., kiss., kola., lac-lup., lil-t., luna, lyc., med., meny., mez., Nat-m., neon, nit-ac., op., opun-a., ph-ac., phos., plat., psor., rhus-t., sars., sep., spong., staph., sulph., syph., thuj., verat., visc.

(not in present time, hanging onto something which has past)--dwelling = obsessing
MIND; LOVE; married man or coachman, with (2) : ign., nat-m.
(falling in love with unavailable people--and this rubric is not complete but Nat-m is the main one to think of commonly)

Best,
Andy
