Rubrics' use - was hangnails

Dear Shanon,
UR absolutely right about the hangnails, but I'm still wondering about the use of the symptom in repertorization. A better example for this [as I feel the hangnails subject is exhausted], can be the following:

If you have a patient who is a real artist [and not only as a job] - would you give beforehand the same chance to all the remedies in MM - or would you consider giving some priority to the 20 remedies listed in this rubric?

A hangnail doesn't *necessarily* leave a raw place, and when it does, the
raw place doesn't usually become infected. So I would take a hangnail
seriously only to the point of snipping rather than ripping, and if ripping
happens, keep it clean and/or covered!
