combination remedy legality / Asclepius in the Balance 1 Asclepius - the Circus Clown

I think this is a good example of where combination remedies can be
acceptable, although not nearly as good as well selected single remedy by a
skilled practitioner who can give enough time to each patient.

Also, I think that combination remedies are used as over the counter
remedies by some in the public - although this certainly can be problematic
and in some cases may cause some people issues, but so does uninformed use
of most other over the counter use of other drugs.

I am very concerned and against the idea of out lawing combination remedies
- even though I do not use them. There are two related reasons,

First is I have heard that the combination remedies pay the bills for many
of the homeopathic pharmacies at this point. Unfortunate though it may be,
single remedy use is not currently popular enough, nor profitable enough to
support the pharmacies. Perhaps someone who has more accurate information
than I on this could comment, but I would worry that we would shoot
ourselves in the foot if we fight our own pharmacies, even if they make
some remedies that we as classical practitioners don't choose to use.

Second is the idea of "First they came to outlaw the nosodes, then the
combinations remedies, then ..." We should fight that kind of "protection"
by making criminals and driving things underground at every step of the
way. For then only those who have the power to make the laws and think they
"know best" will determine how we can practice. Even if such laws were to
be made only by classical homeopaths that I know and respect, I still would
not want it to be legislated in any narrow way.
