Dear Colleagues
Recently on this site we have had a number of mentions of other therapies.
I just would like to pass on a word of warning.
Your treatment of the patient MUST NOT be suppressive.
A great deal of medicianl treatment where crude substances are used and the
medicine is targetted to remove the symptoms may be suppressive.
Whether a patient and the practitioner decide that that is the way treatment
to progress, then taht is their look-out.
However, please do not mix homeopathy and other forms of treatment unless
they are non-invasive and do not counter the course of VF after homeopathic
treatment.
Just imagine that you have stimulated the VF to start moving thing from
centre outwards and then here come the other medication to remove the
symptoms just thrown out by the VF. There will be a struggle, the ONLY
result of which

[With my apologies if this post was accidentally sent before it was
finished.]
Dear Colleagues
Recently on this 'homeopathy' site we have had a number of mentions of
other therapies.
I just would like to pass on a word of warning.
Your treatment of the patient MUST NOT be suppressive.
A great deal of medicianl treatment where crude substances are used and the
medicine is targetted to remove the symptoms or pathology (as opposed to the
totality of the symptom picture) may be suppressive.
Whether a patient and the practitioner decide that that is the way
treatment should progress, then that is their look-out.
However, please do not mix homeopathy and other forms of treatment unless
they are non-invasive (eg reflexology or kinesiolgy, osteopathy) and do not
counter the course of VF after homeopathic treatment.
Just imagine that through homeopathy you have stimulated the VF to start
moving things from centre outwards and then here comes the other medication
to remove the symptoms just thrown out by the VF. There will be a struggle,
the ONLY result of which is to weaken the VF of the patient.
[This is where if you need to wean a patient from a life supporting
allopathic/crude chemical medicines (eg anti epilepsy drugs or BP drugs)
that you need to use LM potencies.]
Also when one mixes therapies one will not know which therapy has been
effective and which has not and then at the periodical evaluation it is
difficult to follow up the first prescription.
Was it the hom remedy that worked or the Chinese medicine or .....???????
My recommendation is that if you are going to use homeopathy - then use
homeopathy ONLY.
At the same time look at the patient diet and life-style to make sure you
are not dealing with a maintaing cause.
I remember a case being reported in a journal where the homeopath/natropath
had prescribed a remedy as well as a laxative.
Compare to another case of a patient who had had a history of heroine use
(but had stopped for some time) and had been constipated for 13 years. She
had to go to hospital to receive a double enema and vacuum suction to remove
the waste. The latter - 3 days after a dose of Op wanted to go to the
toilet and eventually settled to a good routine.
Best regards & good healing.

Re: Homeopathy & Other therapies
Very well written and my views exactly. Whilst other methods of treatment have their place, let's not mix with Homeopathy.

Re: Homeopathy & Other therapies
The world has become a village and the medicinal approaches from different cultures are mixed and used by our patients. We realise, furthermore, that we
don't have answers; that we offer responses. We and our pts. are burdened with the obligation to become sufficiently familiar with other systems of
healthcare so that we can better address a clinical issue. As a physician I assume the obligation to meet my allopathic colleague at the bio-chemical
terrain; my homeopathic colleague and oriental medical colleague at the vital force and to differentiate physiological action from endocrine action, and to
better understand funcitonal medicine. There is a unifying matrix at play and as one is able, to free oneself from the constraints of any one model of
healthcare, one should allow for the spacial dance of concepts. It is a body electric, it is a universe of energetic reflections and actions no matter the
paradigm. I would argue respectfully that we must promote collaboration, sharing of views, diagnostics, and treatments, regardless of the paradigm.
I would ask the host of this cite to address this issue, and in the interim I will respect your wishes not to mix anything with homeopathy and refrain from
further input until such time that the host resolves the question.

Re: Homeopathy & Other therapies
Will the host of this cite please address the question of constraint of information. Should this cite be limited exclusively to homeopathy or is there room
for the information from other fields of healthcare?

Dear Isali Ben-Jacob,
Minutus mailing list is a homeopathy discussion group.
Any discussion regarding the interaction of other
methods with homeopathy (in a systhematic and not
eclectic manner) is welcome but it should not go
beyond the subject of homeopathy.

Re: Homeopathy & Other therapies
If we can do as you request, perhaps we will help in solving the core of
deep problems that currently plague our world. Lets start here, see what we
can do, test out Wendys earlier piece on toleranace/intolerance. It is
quite a complicated puzzle for sure, and there are many paths that lead to
the top of the mountain/end of the road, what ever you want to call it.
