How about if I do a "semantic dance" and say -- sol is not "triturated
sunlight" (certainly can't be done), but instead "triturated milk sugar
(alcohol?) which has been exposed to _______ sunlight". Which is, as Andy
pointed out, not inherently much different from any triturations or
dilutions that take place above Avogadro's number -- we are
triturated/diluting *energetically changed* substrate.

Once we've accepted that the substrate is changed tru being triturated or
diluted with the "original" substance, it seems to me no leap at all to
assume that it is also changed thru exposure to (sun/x-ray/blue light/
whatever).
