Dear All,
I have written in the past about our need for volunteers in Kenya. Today I wish to give you an update about our projects and once again invite volunteers to join us.
It's been a tough job but we are now entering our 5th year. About 16 students have passed the course, a few have gone their way and 13 remain linked to the ALF network. About 25 students are in training.
In this, our fifth year, we are now running 9 affilitated clinics, including the very successful clinic of Steve Smith where they see a couple hundred patients a month. Two ALF homeopaths are working with him there.
We have developed an approach of mobile clinics in order to make the foundation for establishing homeopathy as quickly as possible in Kenya. (a) The mobiles are the hands-on clinical training grounds for senior students, (b) it brings affordable treatment to various communities and (c) it popularises homeopathy and (d) establishes the client goodwill and groundwork for graduates to open permanent clinics.
The mobiles are a wonderful opportunity for homeopaths to use their skills in serving needy humanity, it gives both new and experienced homeopaths a chance to work with some interesting cases (and dull too, I guess

ALF needs volunteers to help the mobile clinic plan work. We don't yet have enough of experienced "homegrown" homeopaths to run mobiles or train their fellow students. Volunteers also help -if they want- in the training course, giving a few classes they feel comfortable teaching.
ALF welcomes both young graduates and experienced practitioners. A minimum of six weeks is ideal, 8-12 weeks even better for a fulfulling visit. And anyone wishing for a long haul of 6-12 months is also very welcome.
Write me personally off-list or visit our website for volunteer information and an application.
Jambo to Kenya.
Sincerely,
Didi Ananda Ruchira
