So sick and so true..............

Let it go............Let go of the fear............

Just brought my parents here yesterday from Arizona (I'm living in Wales).
Thought my dad and I had a detante (I didn't see him for 10+ years due to
the continual bible verse speaking and ranting. ) 3.5 years ago, we got
past that - he got past that, though still religious. I had changed too
and didn't let it push my buttons so much, I'm sure. But last night.....oh
my god, yelling at me about God punishing gays with AIDS for their dirty
deeds. I'm calming saying my god doesn't punish people and then him
yelling more about he doesn't know who my god is and I've thrown out the
bible and Adam and Eve and he went on and on and I jsut kept saying my god
is about love and peace and the world is an incredible place and he just
couldn't take it was decompensating before my very eyes. Finally he went
off to bed. What a horribly depressing night and the thought of 6 weeks
of him here was almost more than I could bear last night..................I
was devastated. But mercury is retrograde (can see that on the lists and
out there!) and all is escalating regarding fear in the US and
elsewhere...............He had serious jetlag, mom is sick, he is 80 years
old, I was exhausted.
Just felt invaded in my peaceful place where I try to find solace from the
insanity. But today was better and not discussed and send me good wishes
that we won't have to go there again. My poor father lives in fear.
