WRONG. CLASSICAL DOES NOT BELEIVE IN DISEASES. IF THEY DO THEN HAHNEMANN'S TIME'S DISEASES ARE THE STORY OF PAST. Study of homeopathy does not lie in many old books except Provings. Just study modern medical books, try to figure out what the hell is happening at spiritual, emotional, molecular and cellular . level. Try to map the old stuff to the new stuff and you have answer. But it takes hard work and a lot ass rubbing on ground as Bush is now rubbing in Iraq.

I think the concept is still not clear to you,why you chose homeopathy when
you dont understand the vital hahnemanian concept of homeopathic disease
classifivcations and dont talk of bush he know his job well and has done it
and shown to world,

Hahmenann does speak of (and therefore prescribe for) disease; the Organon
uses the term many times! But his *definition* of "disease" is indeed
different from the modern allopathic definitions.

Dear Dr Kumar,
I am always a little surprised when homeopaths say we should completely
reject allopathic disease names. Surely, these names give us a very specific
indication of exactly what the symptoms are that the patient is suffering
from, and they also give us some clear indications about organ pathology,
disease causation (at the cellular level at least), and so on? Are they not
a useful guide? We know that disease itself may go deeper, which is why
addressing it or undermining it at the energy or biomagnetic level as with
homeopathy is able to bring about more lasting cures. But why is there so
much antagonism towards clear labelling of the outward manifestation of the
disease? It seems to me that Hahnemann is very comfortable with using
allopathic disease labels in the right context, as a quick browse through
"Chronic Diseases" shows. As long as we do not think, like allopathy, that
the disease is cured simply by preventing the symptoms - i.e. as long as we
are responsible and sensible about disease "names", I agree with you that we
should not shy away from them.

we are talking of homeopathy! i am surprised why you talk of diagnostic name
of disease ,this way of understanding disease is a part of study of modern
medicine, yes this is a criteria/tool to know prognosis of disease for
modern medicine ,
but we have observations in homeopathy(kent,herring,hahnemann,.....)these
homeopathic observations are based on human objective and subjective
symptoms and in otherside,in allopathic these are based on pathological &
microbiological/radiological lab reports
and do you know any data of allopathic cured disease like cancer people die
more of treatment than disese and you are depending on that system of
treatment.......

and any othe more inquiry ,you are most welcome i am here to solve.

Hi Anna,

In my experience (which of course might not be accurate), most homeopaths
don't completely reject allopathic disease names; we just use the
information differently than an allopath would. I agree with you that the
diagnosis (disease name) can be useful for the reasons you've mentioned. In
addition, knowing the diagnosis helps us know what to expect with regard to
possibility of cure, and expected speed and course of recovery.

But the disease name may be irrelevant to the choice of remedy; e.g. if I
see a strong match with a certain remedy in the mentals (or perhaps other
aspects), I will likely give that remedy, *even if* I don't see any record
of it having ever cured the particular "disease" or symptoms I'm aiming for.

Also, our definition of "disease" is so much broader than the allopathic
definition, and in many cases the allopathic "diagnosis" is nothing more
than a description of observed symptoms (e.g. "fibrymyalgia", "chronic
fatigue", even "cancer") and gives us basically *nothing* to go on with
regard to remedy choice.

But so often people come to the lists (or to homeopaths) asking for "a
remedy for [disease name]", and all one can say -- again and again -- is
that "homeopathy doesn't work that way"...

Hahnemann did indeed use disease names, but he also qualified them -- "a
typhoid-*like* disease", etc. I agree, tho -- disease names (diagnosis) can
be useful, *if* the limits and proper use of it are understood.
