whooping cough (pertussis) driven from earth, that's just ridiculaous,
or maybe those US medical companies procucing vaccines suffer from the
delusion the area of their greatest marketing influence, i.e. the US, is
the world.
As we all know there are a lot more countries in America, Asia, Africa
and Europe.

In her early childhood, which she spent in Munich (Bavaria, Germany, old
Europe) my daughter went to the Waldorfkindergarten, a nursery school
with a more aware and natural pedagogic approach. There also the mothers
and most fathers had a greater awareness, thus most children where not
vaccinated (appart from tetanus and polio) - in Germany the parents'
responsibility is respected, so nobody can force you to vaccinate your
child. In this kindergarten they had their anual "epedemics". One year
it was whooping cough, then chicken pocks, mumps, rubella, measles and
the one or other case of scarlet fever (Kinderkrankheiten, children's
diseases these are called in German). Nearly all those illnesses were
cured with one or the other kind of natural medicine (homeopathy,
phytotherapy or antroposophic medicine) and never anything really
disadvantageous happened, not as far as I have heard.

No one kicked a fuss about that. And the whooping cough was the harder
the more mothers worried about, at least that was observed and always
said.

Of course, it is due to miasmic weaknesses, that and especially what
kind of disease we acquire, we do not get the whole set of
"Kinderkrankheiten".

In my daughter the weak point is the resperatory system, thus she had
pneumonia at the age two, whooping cough at the age of four and
diphtheria at the age of ten, all were cured homoeopathically. Only
after the diphtheria some kind of sensiblity in the larynx and trachea
still lingered on. When the air was stiffling she started ... well it
cannot be described better as Kent did: "Scraping and rawness in the
larynx. Scraping mucus from the larynx, scraping and coughing. It is not
a hawk, because that noise clears the throat." It took me some time to
find out, but it was Bromium (see Kent, Lectures on MM). I gave her one
dose, in C 200, and ten minutes later she didn't even know how she has
produced these strange sounds, the only thing she was able to do was to
clear her throat as anybody does.

The point I wanted to illustrate with this example is that it might be
possible that some minor symptoms still linger on after an infection
with a miasmic background, but it is just a reason to study the MM or
repertorize again.

A 100 day cough might also be the result of some kind of suppression,
aren't there hell too many cough suppressing medicaments.

Dear Claudia,
Thanks. My son was not homeopathically cured but managed both allopathically
and homeopathically.
My primer books were no help. But some therapeutics books said this. Cough
ending in sneeze is always
an indication of whooping cough. I still remember an evening when my son was
with the facial mask of the
nebulizer and being a normal headstrong boy, he refused it with great force
and as a result coughed for a length of
time till he became blue in the face. Two evenings later I deserted
allopathy. A month later I joined a correspondence
course in hom.
When I took over the cough was still bad.It was not a 100 days cough. Now it
is nearly 700 days ! A lingering mild cough on raising in morning, and a
fewer pathologically removed symptoms still remain. As things are not at all
threatening, I am taking time, and also looking at each symptom and
associated remedies an in depth look.

As you suggested, the MM has to be studied in depth. I do it greater day by
day. By the time I
complete the cure, I think I would have read up at least a score of remedies
in depth and a dozen
of the methodologies of analysis and grouping the sx.

I'm glad, this topic is being picked up by various members .
