Question about Homotoxicology

Anna homoeopathy is based on the principle of "like cures like" not on the
principle of "several likes cure a like". also when you combine remedies
how do you know what the combination makes???? Having said that it is
possible to use several remedies as Vannier did but individually and
seperate. Also what is the point of studing and learning a materia medica if
you can't work out the remedy and you have to give all together?
