Tubercular remedies

Post by ravinder kondadhasula »

Dear Friends,

In recent times there has been lot of research in the
field of molecular Biology wherein people are trying
to identify the organisms and also regroup them based
on the DNA sequences and other potential markers.

In the context of the T.B causing bacteria, work is
being done to look for the relatedness of the strains
from all over the world. The recent findings are that
the Mycobacterium Bovis which was there prelevaent in
the past has mutated and given rise to number of new
strains/sub types and the predominant strain presently
dominating the world over is M.tuberculosis. By still
going into the finer details it has been found that
the strains differences is reflected in the enzyme
systems of these bacteria, which ultimately decides
their site of action or localization. The study also
points out that the strain present in majority areas
of our country ie India belong to the ancestral strain
ie M.bovis.

In this context can anyone please explain the
potential medicines to tackle there subtle differences
in the strains.Because the symptoms of the past may
vary with present diseases or are there new drugs
which have been potentized based on these types of
results.

Thanking you all

K.Ravinder
