Digest Number 1382

Post by Elizabeth Flynn »

Hi All,
The story of the Goitre and Iodine is very interesting but I am just wondering (as a student) how would Iodatum have worked in this case? Surely there needs to be some iodine in the body already? How does the potentised remedy work in this case (potentised beyond 12X) ? Is the energy sufficient?
I would appreciate your thoughts/responses.
Thanks
Elizabeth

Dear Julian, I love the idea of this book you mentioned. I often try to
'colour code' remedies either by their discharge or actual original
substance etc, so this is a subject which fascinates me - where will you be
reviewing this book.

Best, Joy

My my! Another small problem with cultural literacy.
Have you seen old photos that are brownish rather than blackish? They
are called "Sepia toned." That should tell you what Sepia looks like.
Look at some old drawings by Michaelangelo and Rembrant. They are all
a brownish ink on white paper. Again Sepia.

I grew up with mother who did watercolors. I learned, at a very early
age to distinguish between Sepia, raw sienna, and burnt umber.
I am told that, in kindergarten, when the teacher was holding up
flash-cards to identify colors, she said, "now what is THIS color?"
held up a red card, and I said, "Vermillion." She was baffled and
called my mother. Hell! It sure wasn't Rose madder or Crimson!

Get a sample card of watercolor pigments. Most interesting looking.
Then get the book "Color in Homeopathy" by Ulrich Welte. I'm working
on a review of it. Absolutely fascinating.

Dear Colleagues

It is obvious that for us as a species to function well we need a number raw
materials (minerals, vitamins etc) to assimilate.

Iodine is one of them.

There are areas on Earth where there is little iodine - iodine therefore
needs to be used as a supplement.

There are a couple of good natural sources of iodine. One is Sea salt and
the other I believe is walnut.

The walnut has we normally see it has a hard outer shell. However, when
picked it has a fleshy green outer cover.
The fresh fruit is very rich and in fact those working with it will get
brown hands through handling it.

So pickled walnuts which is the fresh fruit pickled would be absolutely
superb for someone in a sepia state! :-)

Enjoys and remove the maintaining cause!

Hi,
She has been hypothyroid all her life. :)
Goiter has been with her since 1993.
She has reported to me this morning that she lost a lot of water weight
during the night!
I am thrilled!
Her goiter is even smaller this morning!
I am excited!
Alva :)
