I wonder if someone could explain to me, in the periodic table how the series derived their names ie
Hydrogen Series
Carbon Series etc
I am aware that each Rx is within a particular series however am curious how the name for each series was chosen,
Thanks
Joan

Re: Periodic Table
Hi Joan,
I think the series is simply named for its best-known member.

Re: Periodic Table
Dear Joan
To pick up a little more on Sharon's observation....
Each line ("series"), according to Scholten defines a Life stage:
#1 Hydrogen: being Whole
#2 Carbon: "I"; defining values; self esteem
#3 Silica: Relationships
#4 Iron: Jobs; worth; duty
#5 Silver: Creativity; inspiration; ideas
#6: Gold: King; leadership
#7 Magus
hope this helps
regards
