of high apartheid in South Africa. I praise God that He has intevened and
gives us a country where a decade of equality is celebrated this year.

There where many times I also thought of leaving this country. But why? This
is where God placed me to make a difference.

peace and healing in a country of turmoil and sickness.

Dear Anton,

Friends recently returned from spending ayear in S Afica. What they describe is
a place where energy is high and people are involved in creating change. People
are feeling very empowered who were not before. That struggle was enormous, took
years and developed international support. I agree that people need to stay here in
the usa and learn how to struggle in the context of a movement that needs growing.
Those of you who live elsewhere need to participate, too, by organizing and bringing
pressure to bear on the usa. organizing embargos/boycotts and educating those
who are not would be good avenues to take.
