Musical Remedies
I have been discussing this with another budding homeopath with interests very similar to Julian's. Since remedies have been made using colours, why not music? Musical experiments have caused and cured things. Anyone with experience or thoughts?

Re: Musical Remedies
Rajan Sankaran had done some experimenting with this for "Spirit of
Remedies," using Indian Ragas. I don't know how this information would
translate into other cultures or styles of music -- perhaps the research
would need to proceed piece by piece, which would be very tedious indeed.

Re: Musical Remedies
Dear Rosemary,
I was considering more using each note, eg "I think you would benefit from a dose of B flat. " Either way it would be tedious, but no more so than proving every other substance on the planet. I'm not sure how it was done with colours (am on the verge of ordering Ambika Wauters' book to find out) but subjecting a vial of alcohol to a sustained note for a period may be an hypothesis.

There is a new book out about using color that is in the mail to me

Waters book, as I recall, was not as good as I anticipated. Let me
ask around...

I am not 100% sure but I think that Helios has or was in the process of
making ( or thinking about it) and proving a musical remedy.
I recall there was talk about this when I was in Greece at a seminar given
by Melissa Assilem, and John from Helios was there as part of the guest
speakers/teachers.

Hi, Elilzabeth.
Hmmmm...
Someone who could be enlightening -- probably VERY enlightening -- on this
subject is Peter Chappell.

Hmmm... but how to ask him? His site is fascinating, what an amazing man. (www.peterchappell.net) It mentions that his only permanent abode is an email address, but doesn't give it anywhere.

Re: Musical Remedies
Last year I attended a seminar in the UK given by Ian White, the founder of
the Australian Bush Flower Essences who has done something similar with his
White Light Essences, a set of seven vibrational essences which come
together with a CD. The CD contains eight pieces of music each
corresponding to a colour of the spectrum. The idea is that the essences
are used in sequence and the CD played so the music balances and harmonises
the individual as he/she takes the essences. Ian says in his introduction:
"Two and a half thousand years ago Pythagoras demonstrated the music-colour
connection through his theory on colour and harmonic scale. Sound (pure
vibration) has a powerful effect on the cellular structure of the human
being and a very profound effect on the psyche, emotions and soul."

Re: Musical Remedies
Dear Julian,
Regarding use of colors, I can share (off list) two experiments of the same
friend about whom I wrote in my last mail. These are about his paintings.
Take care.
Sincerely,
Zaidee
