statistics
a. The number of physicians in the United States is 700,000
b. Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year is 120,000.
c. Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171. (US Dept. of Health & Human Services)
THINK ABOUT THIS:
a. The number of gun owners in the US is 80,000,000 (yes, eighty-million!).
b. The number of accidental gun deaths per year (all age groups) is 1,500.
c. The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .0000188.
Statistically, doctors are about 9,000 times more dangerous than gun
owners.
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS A DOCTOR.
Alert your friends to this threat. We must ban doctors before this gets out of hand! As a public health measure I have withheld the statistics on lawyers
for fear that the shock could cause people to seek medical attention.

Read this:
http://www.naturodoc.com/library/public ... _death.htm
Leading Cause of Death in the U.S.
Cause 250,000 Deaths Every Year
By Joseph Mercola, D.O.
The U.S. health care system may contribute to poor health or death.
According to Dr. Barbara Starfield of the Johns Hopkins School of
Hygiene and Public Health, 250,000 deaths per year are caused by
medical errors, making this the third-largest cause of death in the
U.S., following heart disease and cancer.
Writing in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Dr.
Starfield has documented the tragedy of the traditional medical
paradigm in the following statistics:
Deaths Per Year Cause
106,000 Non-error, negative effects of drugs2
80,000 Infections in hospitals10
45,000 Other errors in hospitals10
12,000 Unnecessary surgery8
7,000 Medication errors in hospitals9
250,000 Total deaths per year from iatrogenic* causes
No wonder their "malpractice" insurance is sooooo high that many
doctors can no longer do their business!
Wondering why this ultra-high killing rate never made to public notice???
This reminds me of a very sad thing happened to one of my father's
best friend, died at 70. He went to a TOP-rated MOST-respected
hospital in Taiwan for general health check. His son worked as an MD
in the same hospital but different department. The old man was
injected a chemical for x-ray. Very soon his heart stopped function
and he was beyond rescue.
Then, his son's boss came to inform him about this tragedy and warned
him:" You do not want to make this to the public or the court, because
you have your future in this hospital."

Re: IS THIS TRUE?
A while ago, a similar study result regarding the effectiveness of SSRI
anti-depressants vs. St. John's Wort and Placebo was published by a
"respected", peer-reviewed medical journal. The results indicated placebo
was more effected in sorting out depression than any of the SSRIs or the
herbal remedy...does anyone have a copy of this study? I'd like to keep in
on hand and would really appreciate someone posting it here if its possible.
Thanks in advance, and happy holidays to all,
Nancy
