In Hahnemann's CASES ILLUSTRATIVE OF HOMOEOPATHIC PRACTICE (found in
Minutus library), he mentioned a case for a washerwoman in 1815. Here
is what he said how he prescribed for this woman:
"Now, as this woman was very robust, and the force of the disease must
accordingly have been very considerable, to prevent her by its pain
from doing any work, and as her vital forces, as has been observed,
were not consensually affected, I gave her one of the strongest
homoeopathic doses, a full drop of the pure juice of bryonia root,..."
I guess many of you have read this Lesser Writing from our founder.
Please educate me why the strongest homeopathis does is the "pure
juice", instead of a high potency Bryonia, like 30C, 200C or higher?
This confuses me a lot.
Thanks,
Guang

He did not KNOW about a 30c, much less a 200c or higher *at that time*.
That is why knowing HISTORY is so important. It put all this into a timeline.
What you ask is like wondering why all those people used boats in the
1800s to cross the ocean. Why couldn't they just fly?
And the answer lies in understanding a historical time-line.

Re: Question in Hahnemann CASES ILLUSTRATIVE
Dear Guang,
Please note that Hahnemann would use his remedies in crue form in the first years of his practice. Little by little he discovered that he could potentize them.
