well...because when the person is a daughter-in-law, not a patient, not a
student of homeopathy. And when you are profusely bleeding and your whole foot
is swollen and red to the max from a cat bite and the doctor says cat bites
can be very dangerous....you don't call your mother-in-law.

Hi Pongo,
I can relate to your confusion about potencies and when to repeat. My
daughter is also on the autistic spectrum and I think our children are
especially sensitive and their cases are complicated. We just tried an
LM potency (1 drop) with my daughter and it seemed to aggravate her so
we are going back to 30C potency in water which appears to be gentler
for her. This is not my homeopath's usual experience - she said usually
her sensitive patients do better on an LM. So perhaps with autism,
things do not follow the usual path and it is even more important to
look at the case closely and adjust the dosing carefully for the
individual child. I will also not be repeating this remedy very often -
I will look for signs that it has stopped working and then repeat. We
have been treating our whole family and my daughter's case is definitely
the most confusing and the dosing the trickiest. So - I think it is so
very important to have a homeopath who is flexible and perhaps who has
experience working with autistic children though I know there are
homeopaths who specialize in this that I would not go to.

Hi Sandy,
My son's homeopath is specializing autism. I started going to him also recently because I thought it would be easier figuring out family dynamic.
Choosing a homeopath for my son is really hard(actually, not only for my son, for whole my family). At beginning of this journey, I was not thinking it and just found one because she was taking our insurance. She had a asperger child and she told me she fixed his problem by herself. She could never fixed my son's problem for 2 years...I heard she died with cancer a couple years ago. I was in shock for a while and wondered why she couldn't fix her problem by herself? Also I thought if she couldn't fix herself, after all, she couldn't fix my son's problem either. I felt very sorry for her but also thought we needed to leave her sooner.
I pretty much follow homeopath's suggestion but I feel I need to know what they are doing because there are so many WRONG homeopaths out there. If I follow them, it is not safe anymore. It will harm my son so badly.
My son's current homeopath said, using 30c every day dosing is dangerous. It causes proving. My previous homeopath, he was prescribing 30c every day 42 days(until next appointment)and I did for 2 weeks and I got suffocating feeling. It was really scary experience.
I agree with you. Autism kids are very sensitive so they need special care and potencies. To me, the most difficult thing is reading my son's mind. I have to tell his homeopath his characters and constitutional nature. I take teachers opinions and other people's opinions but still really hard. So that part, I can't blame about hommeopaths.
