I have a surprise for you: the Thai stone is made of Alum. That is the
same as aluminum, and absorbs through the skin. It is not a safe method.
Baking Soda powder is best, with Zinc Oxide paste another good choice.

Here is a link about the stones. I do not know if they are all the same.
