Hello minutus and lyghtforce!

It occurred to me that I never really mentioned to the list the
database I developed last year.
I've spent a number of years collecting names of physicians who were
practicing homeopathy in the USA from 1828 to 1963. I've amassed over
27,000 names.
I have them in a database that lists their name, their school (if
any) date of graduation, location (if known), and affiliation (AIH,
IHA). I also have separate fields for women and non-homeopathic
school grads.
Right after I finished this in April, I received a request from a
historian asking if I could give a figure of graduates of homeopathic
schools between 1900 and 1910 and 1911 and 1920, and did I know how
many of the total were women.
It was easy to provide the figure. I could even give the figure for
the same time frame of practitioners who did NOT graduate from
"homeopathic" schools.
The listing combines all those mentioned in King's 4 volumes, the AIH
directories of 1925, 1941, and 1963, AIH membership lists to 1909,
IHA membership lists to 1959, listing found in the AMA directory of
American Deceased Physicians 1814-1929, and several other compiled
listings, including a complete directory of Graduates from Boston
University, U of Michigan (Ann Arbor), Iowa State, Hahnemann in
California, and Hahnemann in Philly.

I put it all together as a tab-separated word file, which is easily
imported into any database program.

It is available on a CD-ROM for $30, from HomeopathyWorks in West Virginia.
I know it isn't going to be a big seller, and I've made only 25 copies.
It will, eventually be downloadable (at the same price) from my web-page.

Anyway, for those history buffs out there, I thought I'd alert you to
the existence of the database.
