Actually two different cases, so I'll start with the
ribs.
I fell from a bucking horse and landed on my right
side, very winded, terrible pain in ribs under right
armpit > holding arm against body.
Managed to catch the horse and untack it whilst still
convinced I was OK to drive home!?
Realised this was not to be and called for a lift to
the hospital, had a few tears. > leaning on injured
side, > standing.
Ex rays showed clinically fractured ribs (WOW!) and I
was sent away with some pain killers and advice to
keep breathing so I didnt get pneumonia.
Gor home and took Bryonia 30c one dry dose.
Took Arnica 30c, one dry dose (had nothing stronger)
Intense burning pain on extending arm in any
direction, took arsenicum 30c one dry dose. (May have
gone into homeopathic overdrive at this point)
SO as I still had some vials left in my Helios kit and
as I was still in pain I took one Hypericum 30c. I
then remembered my little white lie about Tetanus jab
and took a Ledum 30c for good measure. The remedy (?)
and pain killers kicked in and I went to sleep dreamt
of floating(!)driving my car
Next day > half sitting on uninjured side (spent the
night like this on couch)
hard pressure
lying sore
side. thirstless
Tried one does of Bry 30c dry. He felt slightly
better.
Next day v sorry for himself, both ears blocked.
wanted the window open temp all over the place.
Much moaning and gnashing of teeth. Gave him Puls
200c in split dose.
Next day much better.
Now one week later his ears are bunged up again, and
he has piles, which feels like a dagger in his rectum.
They are outside the anus and have started bleeding
tonight after small soft stool.
I cant pick up my rep due to ribs!!!
However, he went on the web and visited abc homeopathy
and insisted I get him Sulph. I have ordered Sulph 30c
and lectured him about skin (which he has v v dry and
suppressed as is any dx he ever had it seems!)
He said he didnt care I had to get it, I suggested a
low dose - but he wants high (has no knowledge of
homeopathy)
So I though maybe it is a sulpH? Have seen piles from
suppressed ear ifxn.
Do you think it is wise to give him Sulph? I am
concerned it could be too powerful. He is quite weak
now. Yelps with the pain, wont tell me anything but i
presume is >> baths as had several today. Doesnt feel
better now its bleeding.
Am confused as to whether this is new or followed the
ears (from aeroplane? or virus from Bulgaria?) or
followed the homeopathy? He has never had piles
before.
once the ears clear a bit he can hear (although hams
up the deafness a lot!) and fluid comes out of ears.
He has lots of mucus and hawks it up.
He is usually (and continues during illness) an
attention seeker. Wants my advice and then ignores it,
although did get suppositories and then asked me to
insert them as I was a doctor (we are room mates and I
declined! The ribs finally came in handy)
He is off to the doctor tomorrow and is expecting to
be sent straight to hospital!
Any non homeopathic advice would be great too, as to
what he can do to be more comfortable. His diet is Ok,
he smokes a lot and has continued to do so throughout
his (app. terminal) illness.
Any ideas what is going on?
From a rather pathetic household needing your help!

ribs and piles!
Re: ribs and piles!
Dear Liz,
I can sympathise with you - I had exactly the same experience some 27 years
ago. I fell from a bucking horse, landed left shoulder first on a
projecting tree stump and couldn't move my arm. I drove down a steep
winding road, in a manual car, only able to change gears with my right hand
(live in Australia, so normally it's the left). When I got to hospital they
asked if I could move my left arm, and I could just but only with great pain
and difficulty - they didn't x-ray, just told me to go home because I was
okay. I remember quite clearly that at times it hurt to breathe, and
movement was so painful. Now, some 27 years down the track, it has showed
up on x-rays that I've had 2 broken ribs at some time - and I bet I know
when!!
I'm only new to this group - but for me, the best remedy for the bruising
was Arnica, and the best potency was 3C - no other potency helped, it was
definitely 3C.
Hoping you recover well.
