Berbis v

Post by ForumGal »

Dear all,
Do you know what berb v does in the body? I use it "for" gall bladder
problems, and it ends pain almost instantly. Has it in fact altered the size of
gall stones, facilitated their elimination, etc., or simply reduced swelling
or whatever it is that causes gall bladder pain. As you can tell, I'm trained
in neither physiology or homeopathy beyond self-study.

Thanks very much,
Margaret Lamb in Boston

Dear Margaret

Your best bet is to get advice from a qualified homoeopath in your area - I
have included below some sketchy information on berberis which is just that:
sketchy. You can get more details from websites like www.homeoint.org, but
again, I must stress, they will never replace the services of a qualified
practitioner.

Berb v stands for berberis vulgaris - barberry. It is a remedy with
affinity to liver and kidneys (either as a tincture or in its homoeopathic
form) and it can be used to treat pain and inflamation due to kidney or gall
stones, if the symptoms indicate its use.

Regards
Eleana
